NEWS: OYO STATE MOTOR DEALERS ASSOCIATION IBADAN CHAPTER; OKE-ADO CHAIRMAN; ALHAJI ADIGUN LAUDS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

The Chairman Oyo State Motor Dealers Association Ibadan Chapter; Oke Ado Alhaji Adigun has lauded the Federal Government for her initiative in making dollars available for both home and international marketers and traders, this he commended as a creative way of making dollars available adequately, for the benefit of those on both international and indigenous transactions but, he appealed to the federal government to make the commercial banks as a majorly direct link, where the dollars will be purchasable for these indigenous and international traders,  than selling in bulks to the bureau de change who will just buy in bulk and sell it to their customers at their fixed price, since everybody is doing business to make profit hence, no one can blame them.
Meanwhile, he described the fluctuation and unstable position of the dollars to naira as dishearteningly pathetic and  is even adding to loss, for those who are buying dollars to do business, this he advised that if there could be a fixed price, at which naira would be to dollar, then those who need to buy the dollar must have known the amount to take along with them, to buy dollars from the commercial banks.
Here he suggested to the federal government that it could have been much easier, beneficial and advantageous for both the government and those who buy dollars for business, if the commercial banks can be selling dollars at a fixed price, to those who need it and see whether naira will not appreciate quickly, than for them to be scrambling outside to look for the dollars.
However, he defended that if these commercial banks can be the major channel from which the buyers of the dollars would be going, to buy dollars for their businesses then, it would quickly enable the naira to increase in value, since that it is the intention of the federal government at the first instance, of making the dollars available more than before.
