LABOSINDE'S FAMILY CELEBRATES OLUAWO AFOBAJE OF IBADANLAND'S FIRST ANNIVERSARY INSTALLATION WITH ONE MILLION NAIRA ENDOWMENT /YOUITH EMPOWERMENT FUND
On the Saturday of November, 2016 at Mapo Hall, Ibadan was the venue where Hajji/Chief Wahab Akanbi Idowu Popoola (Maosadogun 3) was celebrated by the members of his family, well wishers,friends and distinguished personalities among who Olubadan of Ibadan-land; Oba Saliu Adetunji Ogunguniso 1, Chief Adebayo Akande(Maye of Ibadan-land and the CEO Splash/ Lagelu F.M), Chief Olufemi Olaifa, Chief Lateef Oyelade, Erudite Scholar Ola Tomori, Chief Bayo Oyero were, to mention few of those who graced the occasion, to give respect to the celebrant.
The occasion which saw to the unwinding of historical background of Labosinde and various feats by their forefathers, to keep culture and tradition intact, for the good of history, development, Ibadan-people and Ibadan; the city in particular.
To affirm what importance and value lie behind the youth embracing culture and tradition, we sought the opinions and views of some custodians of culture and tradition, who attended the occasion like Chief Isiaka Labosinde Akoju eda agbaye (Abore) who summatively sees Culture , Tradition and Religion as sibling that relate together, stressing the fact that there was nothing like religion in the olden days among the Yoruba and even black race in general but, the various deities were the only gods among the Yoruba s.
And since the religions were brought into Nigeria hence, the forefathers call religion "shameful-acts" and not religion, for infiltrating into their society and adversely affecting their beliefs in deities. He reiterated further that the emergence of the ideology of the white on governance was what reduced and deprived the black race of their identity and grandeur, which also affected the Obas and the earlier respect accorded them, since the Obas are already subjected to the government and are at their beck and call. He appreciatively thanked God, for the fact that changes for betterment is already happening, to the resuscitation of culture and tradition, since almost all the professionals like judges, doctors, lawyers etc are embracing the rebirth, for accommodation, so brighter future awaits the renascence of the culture and tradition. On the importance lying in the culture and tradition, he cited the reason behind the prevalent corruption in Nigeria, to the ineffective of the method of taking oath by the public-functionaries with the books for the two major religions in Nigeria, which if sincerity of purpose in not embraced by the politicians who become public-functionaries and they had sworn by any object related to the gods or deities; it is certain they reap the repercussion automatically, for their dishonesty-meaning instant justice.
Mrs Lola Labosinde's princess on her own opinion advised that culture and tradition should be uplifted, exalted and uphold in high esteem, because there is no way anybody can extricate himself or herself from the background he came from or be daft to be pointing a condemn-able finger at the background from which he came. She cited the issue of the Europeans copying our ways of life, culture, tradition and learning our language, to infer from the good part of our wholeness yet, they are still safeguarding their culture and tradition also hence,admonished the Nigerians not to embrace the white-civilization to the disadvantage and indifference to Culture and Tradition of the Yoruba.
In the opinion and view of Chief Isiaka Oladeji Labosinde; Arole Labosinde Worldwide; Culture and Tradition are slightly original and each stands on its own, since there is a male and female respectively in gender form. He forbidden that culture and tradition dwindle while they;he and other African-traditionalists are doing a lot, to save it from falling into decadence so, there should be no reason why their effort be unfruitful. He stressed the fact that as a traditionalist, he is already booked for a trip to Canada and some European countries, for the promotion of Culture and Tradition, this he corroborated and inferred, to support his claim that traditionalism has changed for better, from the way it was practiced, in the olden day and thus nothing of using human blood for ritual nor gory activities happen again.He accounted the occasion as the venue, to raise a million naira, to finance the construction of a befitting hall for cultural and traditional activities .
Chief Ladejo Ladotun, Agbena Awo Ile Ibadan of Labosinde's Family on his own stressed that since "a deity not celebrated in the presence of the youth is bound to go into extinction" it is the wisdom from this adage his forefathers embraced, to have accorded the young ones in his family to be witnesses to the festivals and activities for these deities so, many things he and his young but family members learned from this opportunity. He advised that necessary correction, reviews and changes should be made to keep culture and tradition intact, for posterity as "People without the knowledge of their history are like tree without a root". He admonished that since Ibadan story is not complete without talking about Culture and Tradition, through which it was founded then, he sees nothing bad if the much peace being enjoyed in Ibadan shows that God (Olodumare) loves any several good ways HE is being appease and appeal to, as long as no human being is sacrificed, to excused HIS efficacious response, so everybody should be left alone, to whatever he or she believes in.
He advised the government to give adequate support to the traditionalists, to enable them help be alive to their responsibility, as the gap to God for peace, love, stability and buoyancy in the society, as any abnormality happening now in the society is a sign of the anger from God, which the only way to ending it is to call on all religions and traditionalists in appealing to God for forgiveness.
Chief /Alhaji Kazeem Omotoso in his own opinion referred the occasion that brought them to Mapo Hall that day as one of the means to converge the likes mind together, in the deliberation on how to move Culture and Tradition forward. He defended that despite the fact that the two major religions; Christianity and Islam have almost entrenched their roots in the Yoruba society yet, it does not mean one should neglect the value of his background, therefore implored the youth to embrace Culture and Tradition, in order to help preserve the value of the Yoruba people gene-rationally.

The Ex Theresians; Old Students Association held a reunion dinner party at Jorgor's Hall on Saturday 19th of November 2016 with success stories of different impacts and contribution to their Alma-mater and beautiful but successful achievement of many of the ladies (women) being told and exhibited modestly, to grace and garnish the grandeur of the occasion, which was attended by successful professionals who are menfolks like Engineer Femi Babalola, Businessman Jide Alao, Lawyers, Doctors to mention few.
The occasion which started promptly was exclusively and exquisitely organized, to suit the standard class of the serious minded and very highly committed sort of the civilized and cultured collection of the successful ladies, who were professionals in their chosen fields.
With different types of edibles, drinks and delicate s being served to entertain those in attendance. The President of the association; Mrs Ranti Koiki expressed her much appreciation, for the different roles played by some members of the association, thus helping in cash, kind and deeds, to the actualization of several achievement of the association, while she praised, commended and eulogized on the positive disposition of their various sponsors and well wishers, who made real their pledges, to support the association on the success stories, which thus established the association and the members as women of significant-value, impact and importance, to their society at large.
The occasion went well, while the women who were the members of the association rejoiced with some personalities(awardees), who were awarded, for their contribution , while "mamas, mums, mothers now" but "students then" were in the school"; St Theresa Oke-Ado Ibadan. And among the awardees were Sister Agnes Hassan, Baba Sadiq Mumuni aka Kulube and some members of the association.

Olaniyi Dauda Salami In conjuction with Grace Project International gives Free Medical Care to People at Ibadan South West Local Government
Olaniyi Dauda Salami (ODS) Global Investment Company in collaboration with Grace Project International with National Youth Service Corps started a two-day exercise for the provision of free medical care for the people at Ibadan South West Local Government which started on the 15th of November to the 16th of November,2016 as slated.
The programme which was attended by many people from the local government shows that majority of the invalids are silently suffering from different ailments, but are incapacitated for the lack of money to foot their bill as it could be requested by any would-be clinic or hospital they may go to for medical check up on themselves, hence the majority o the people fortunate to be attended to were full of praise and prayers for the initiator of this programme in person of Chief Olaniyi Dauda Salami, who expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunity he had in being able to be in a position relevant, to the provision of the medical care to the people, aside the adequate availability of the special and genuine drugs, to administer for the cure of these people many ailments, ranging from malaria, eye problems, provision of the wheel chairs for the handicaps, to the settling of the bill especially for a poor woman who had been receiving medical attention from a hospital but was unable to pay the cost for the charges made by the hospital that attended to her and while getting to know; the initiator of the programme in person of the amiable, large-hearten but successful business; Chief Olaniyi Dauda Salami offset-ted her bill, and he was also who was realised to have contacted some of his friends in America to aid him in actualising his vision for his people; the moment he got the relevant information of the availability of such free-medical care for the privilege.
Chief Olaniyi Dauda Salami therefore advised those privilege in the society to give whatever assistance they deem fit in helping those who are in needs, which could be of this type of assistance or any other type, since the holy books enjoin each and every one of us to give assistance to any fellow human being, while the reward is compulsorily a thing of must from God to the helper always.
The programme which was attended by many people from the local government shows that majority of the invalids are silently suffering from different ailments, but are incapacitated for the lack of money to foot their bill as it could be requested by any would-be clinic or hospital they may go to for medical check up on themselves, hence the majority o the people fortunate to be attended to were full of praise and prayers for the initiator of this programme in person of Chief Olaniyi Dauda Salami, who expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunity he had in being able to be in a position relevant, to the provision of the medical care to the people, aside the adequate availability of the special and genuine drugs, to administer for the cure of these people many ailments, ranging from malaria, eye problems, provision of the wheel chairs for the handicaps, to the settling of the bill especially for a poor woman who had been receiving medical attention from a hospital but was unable to pay the cost for the charges made by the hospital that attended to her and while getting to know; the initiator of the programme in person of the amiable, large-hearten but successful business; Chief Olaniyi Dauda Salami offset-ted her bill, and he was also who was realised to have contacted some of his friends in America to aid him in actualising his vision for his people; the moment he got the relevant information of the availability of such free-medical care for the privilege.
Chief Olaniyi Dauda Salami therefore advised those privilege in the society to give whatever assistance they deem fit in helping those who are in needs, which could be of this type of assistance or any other type, since the holy books enjoin each and every one of us to give assistance to any fellow human being, while the reward is compulsorily a thing of must from God to the helper always.

ACCORD PARTY SWEARS IN NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
Today at the Accord party's head office located at Samonda-UI-Sango road was very hectic and highly jammed-packed with throng of people and vehicle of various types when the Accord Party State Executive members were being sworn-in; in the presence of the people that matters in the party and the logo-extraordinaire; Chief Rasheed Ladoja himself .
Despite the rumour going round of the factionalism within the party yet, the teeming supporters of the party logo-extraordinaire; Chief Rasheed Ladoja made their presence known and prove able that the decision of Chief Rasheed Ladoja about the state of things within the party is intact without any controversy hence, the event leading to the day's swearing-in of the new state executive members is officially justifiable, final and wholesomely acceptable and tender able anywhere for legal participation in any election.
The event which started as slated with tight security at the venue of the party's head office while the new Chairman for the State executive Alhaji Wahab Oyelade and the Chairmen among who Ona-Ara Local Government Chairman Alhaji Oyadiran corroborated the fact that the swearing-in of the new executive is authentically official, and the only legally acceptable executive-members, within the party-members cutting across the states in Nigeria, without any iota of doubt or controversy.

AJIA SECONDARY GRAMMAR SCHOOL OLD STUDENTS LANCHES HER FOUNDATION
Ajia Secondary Grammar School Old Students Association launches her foundation at an event held inside K.S Motel Ibadan on Saturday 29th of October, 2016.
The occasion which bore witness to an investiture/award and the official launching of the association was graced by some awardees like a one time principal of the school; Elder M.O. Oladele , CHIEF Lekan Alabi, Baale Oladiti Olabode, ChiefOguntade Ambrose, Chief Adeyinka Dauda Gbadebo, Chief T.A Akinyele , the members of the association who are both female and male members but old students of the school and some invited guests.
Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Oladimeji Gafaru a member and one of the Nigerian Army who saw the reason behind the launching of the association emphasized on the need for the government at the three tiers to accommodate vocational-studies into the curriculum of the Nigerian education, in order to equipped the students both at the colleges and tertiary institutions with adequate understanding of knowledge, skills and effective behavioural , as it should be educationally, for them to be masters of their lives later in life, in their various activities and chosen fields, to enable them contribute their quota to the development of the nation.
Meanwhile , to corroborate his piece of the advice the Lieutenant Colonel O.O. Gafaru who majorly specialized in music for the Nigerian Army exhibited his creativity musically on stage, while his boys (army -men on stand ) rendered a melodious and messageful lyrics, to entertain the audience at the venue of the event.
However, Engineer Sangotola Taiwo, Barrister Oladepo Kazeem Adebowale who is also a lecturer at the Polythechnic Ibadan stressed the fact that since education is a pivot on which any development could be achieved, for any nation, hence the initiated the launching of the association, through which they want to contribute their best possible educationally, for the upcoming children, both within Ajia township and the nation in general
