"NIGERIA SHOULD COME FIRST BEFORE ANY OTHER THING, THERE'S A LOT OF MISTAKE MADE IN THE PAST, IT MUST BE CORRECTED NOW.....we suppose to use our brain, God given brain for the masses, atleast they are people recorded of the most poverty stricken in the world, it is a shame"- Chief Abimbola Aboderin

INTERVIEW

 To stand up for what one believes even if the whole world is on the other side denotes integrity, with steadiness, as "pessimist only sees the difficulty in every opportunity but the optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty, hence it is the wish and expectation of every patriot and person of true nationalistic spirit "to bend over backward" in contributing his much quota , to the good of any nation he belongs, since he knows it is only by so doing he can better his lot and that of his people and this is the right posture of Chief Abimbola Aboderin in his response , to our various questions posed to him, to justify the reason why he and his team of Late MKO Abiola, Late Lamidi Adedibu, Chief Abimbola Ajibola; Mko'S lawyer and himself thought it right, to put their lives at stake, in their struggle for democracy, to be entrenched in Nigeria, with their positive activities, through June 12, which eventually brought in place; democracy. for the country and her citizenry, as a political system by which Nigeria is being ruled, to id the development of the country and that of the standard of living of her citizenry, through this encounter we had the opportunity to interview Chief Abimbola Aboderin as reported below;

 Can we know you sir?
 I'm Chief Abimbola Moyosore Aboderin.
Can we know you better than this?
Well, I'm the first son of Late Chief Moyosore Aboderin, the pioneer industrialist; i.e Tower Aluminium Company in Lagos (owned by the Indians now) and still a founder. He was the elder brother to Chief Olu Aboderin and financier of Punch, he was also pioneer politician having founded and funded Ibadan People's Party constituted by Late A.M.A Akinloye, Late Adegoke Adelabu, the first election Moyosore Aboderin came first and was first elected Ibadan man to be State/Federal Parliament in Lagos, also one of the three people officially chosen by the Parliament to represent Nigeria at the queen's Coronationin 1953, others with him then were Sir Adesoji Aderemi who later became the First Premier of the Western Nigeria and Sir Kasham Ibrahim who later became the first Premier of Northern Nigeria
Sir, you are a born into a political family , are you a politicain?
Yes, I'm . I worked with my good friend Late MKO Abiola, we were the one that did June 12 together, his lawyer; Chief Abimbola Ajibola, Late Adedibu, Abiola and Myself.
Sir, in nostalgia, what can you remember about June 12?
Wow, a lot of things, first of all I'm now finishing with the book I wrote called "The True Story of June 12", I've been in the Media with This Day, Guardian, Nation on this same issue, as I said I was part and parcel of it, only four of us made this issue; Late Abiola himself, Adedibu, Myself and Abimbola Ajibola as the Abiola lawyer, there is a lot of story about this event, a lot of people don't know the issue about this, how we fought for the issue of democracy, now we won election, my book is coming out on it, why General Babangida himself, what happened, why the election was annulled, Babangida who is one I know too, very well when I was in defense very well he didn't really know I was with MKO but we are friends, my book will come out and explain everything there,
Sir, democracy is seen as the best in the whole world, what is your take on this ?
Of course, democracy is people's choice, through it people choose who to lead them, in any struggle you fight there is always a prize, there is no ideology better than democracy, that is what we fought for,
What has been the impact of your June 12 fought that people are enjoying now?
Well, the one I now is that a lot of people in governance now are enjoying the struggle we fought for, everybody is enjoying it, what we struggle for, it almost caused our lives, a lot of money was involved, we even raised money for him; Three hundred and fifty million naira, it was kept in my custody twenty four hours.
Was Late Chief MKO the with the spirit of democracy, as initiator of June 12?
Of course, the idea of June 12 was that of the team, though he was the presidential candidate, but it didnt work, it was not just him alone, it was definitely a team work, atleast many people initiated it, four of us; Late Abiola, Late Adedibu, Myself and a lawyer,
Sir, with your struggle for democracy, what can you say about the state of democracy as of now in Nigeria, have we developed a bit?
Yes, it is better than before, I remember vividly I ran for election also 2003 under ANPP, it was a strong party apart from AD in the State and election wasnt good then. peole were just rigging and doing all kind of wrong stuff, INEC was even begging for money, but now they have started on the improvement.
What is your advice to the government and the citizenry particularly this time around, considering what is happening lately in the country?
Well, security is very important, because Iknow how much I have done a lot of working, ten years also in my life, after my Mass Communication in America, in the defense industry, so I believe that a lot of job needs to be done in security, you see Nigeria should come first, there is a lot of mistakes made in the past, it must be corrected now, we have to correct these mistakes, when we were in defense industry I tried my best because I read in the paper that Nigerian forces were totthless, when I got back to Nigeria, with my correction I brought directly, I did a lot of stuff and got approval for, so many things we have ; defense system, mobile system , some marine navy, non of them were bought, we put them in archive, to many testing in abroad, with so many people, one of them is my good friend Chief of Defense Staff Gen Martin Luther Agwayi, together he was my good friend, we did a lot of stuff, but Nigeria Forcve people were not that ready , in respect of our national security, if you dont have equipment you can be talking big; we have a big size, we have a big economy and then you dont have a security, that is our problem, we dont even have a single submarine in Navy, how can we monitor people taking our oil, if you people have a good defense system, which we tried to introduce in our time, it would made everywhere in Nigeria well secured, radars put in right places, guns everywhere in good places, coastal defense system, it could have been mounted at Nigeria high coast, that is what Nigeria could have done, that is why they they have problem with Boko Haram, and they cannot stop it, and you can see this people every other day bombing everywhere, I'm glad they are doing Amotekun here, they must do it fast, other people should do their own, we cant allow foreign people dominating us here, we are very proud people, very strong people, and another thing is the area of corruption, absolutely nothing, Nigeria should come first, the way people take money I dont know what they want to do with that money they are taking, billions upon billions, what are they going to do with it, even if you are not person to be born by the rich , it doesnt mean you have to take all the money, some will say let me quickly take mine as possible, and people also get it wrong saying it is a stunt; it is not stunt, he is there to serve, like National House of Assembly; the money they are paying them is too much, they must be on a part time, if American see you in politics, as most of them are successful in their various businesses and they must also know where you make your money from, the kind of money they are stealing here are really staggering and absolutely sad, see our people being refused visa, Nigeria; a big country, African giant, people who dont know history tht the first people are the black people, the people then' the Pharaohs in those days were black people, a lot of this stuff they dont know, so they must stop this stealing and put this money into good use, and try to manufacture, education, health and same other things that had gone wrong, people think it is life, life is not just anyhow, they are human beings, they are not life bound, we are not just here to take money and enjoy ourselves, we are suppose to use our brain, Go given brain, for the masses, atleast they are people recorded of the most poverty stricken in the world, it a shame,
So about your book on June 12, what is your plan?
Yeah, of course, that's why I'm writing a book for them to see and read, what really happened, I'm
not blaming anyone, but why we must not let it happen again, you know, I must confess, most of it when it eventually comes out I must give it to some Universities to use it, so that people can learn more through history, they can learn a lot of stuffs that happened, a lot of stuffs about June 12 , democracy of Nigeria, they dont know how it came about, it is what is in my book to come out, we hope by God's grace it would be launched this June 2020.

What can you say of Buhari's acknowledgement of June 12 with a posthumous award and the backdated recognition of Abiola’s mandate?

I think it is a job well done, I think Buhari has proven it is high time Abiola is recognized, it is not about Abiola, it is all about democracy, it is a job well done  and I commend Buhari for that.
In this nascent democracy since inception from Shagari to Obasanjo to Yaradua to Jonathan and Buhari presently, having Obasanjo achievement as of the GSM, what can you say has been the achievement of Buhari so far?
Well, for me I think Buhari is trying his best to fight corruption, corruption is not that easy to fight in Nigeria, something that has been embedded in the system, I think Buhari is trying his best, one thing is that all of us have to cooperate with him in that aspect, corruption is killing security in this country, and one thing paramount is that we all also must work together , to put an end to this corruption, it is killing a lot of things and including security, I think he is trying his best but he could do more.
With the situation of things in the country that the country is scrambling for unity and stability, what does the future holds for democracy?
Well, democracy is the only what could bring all the people together, nothing else, just let us put Nigeria first, it is our only country and that is where we are all living presently and it is beautiful, I lived in California , San Francisco the most beautiful country in the world so says the CNN, and I have travelled wide in America, I have seen beautiful countries over there and there is beautiful country here too, all we have to do is to forget about selfishness, wickedness and work as a team, because the world is looking at us, as the most powerful black nation but we are not taking it seriously, they have to take it seriously, they have to stop corruption, they have to live together, democracy is very important, let the people choose who they want to rule them and also rulership is service, people should come to government to serve the nation, not to come and take money but rule, they are suppose to come there and serve, so as simple as that.
You mean that MKO with some personalities make way for this democracy we are enjoying?
Of course, yes we worked very hard for it, MKO was chiosen as candidate, himself, myself, his lawyer, Late Lamidi Adedibu  we worked very hard, we almost lost our lives several time, for this democracy fighting seriously. I was also a good friend of Fela Anikulapo Kuti and King Sunny Ade and I promoted both of them , I took them round African countries, you know I shared same birthday with Fela Anikulapo Kuti but not of the same day, as there is a sort of activism in me
You said you want to lauch a book on Abiola, what year and what day?
Well, about the book, it is not so much about Abiola but most about democracy, June 12 is what it is because it was the best election in the history of the nation, it is unfortunate that it didn’t work out very well, I believe that it was not intentional for Babangida to have annulled the election, it was not done because of bad reason there are so many issues including many people, who are political huslers who were jumping from one place to other, trying to create problems between two good friends.
What lesson do you want to pass to the people on your book about June 12?
Well, first of all, a lot of people don’t know how Abiola got there, it was not easy , we thank God for the success, we have raised so many things, the book will reveal them, on getting there how we managed to survive it, we raised money for every other stuff and then the issue of INEC I have nothing against them, I think they have really tried their best , I cannot really blame them, the idea of Abiola to have declared abroad  could have been better but in Nigeria  it really backfired.
The day is very short on the introduction of that book June 12, what day have you chosen for the launching of the book ?
Well, I have just written the book as far as 1994, but I kept it in my house , I have just been moving on it, it became important when Buhari declared it is democracy day and I said now it is better I come out with the book, the book is not out to be against anyone, it is just the truth about what happened that the lesson we should learn is that we must take democracy seriously , people should stop jogging  from here to there  to create problems.

"Our focus is on the youth that we believe are the bedrock of this nation and the ones that can give us what we want, by catching them young"-Dr. Adewale Adesina , Proprietor and Rector of ADECOM College of Business and Management, Ibadan.

  INTERVIEW

   Education is the bedrock of any nation and through the education of the youth and the activities in adult literacy class;
it is believe a way of building the nation and setting the populace from ignorance, to be enlightened, educated, informed and be well equipped , in contributing their much quota to the development of their society, hence a maxim postulated to admonish that "If education is expensive try ignorance"yet no nation or group of people would want to be kept in the dark
Therefore, we found it essential to go out , taking a step further to source for the tips regarding this subject matter on education and here we found it needful, to seek for the indulgence of the Proprietor and Rector of ADECOM College of Business and Management in Ibadan, in person of Dr. Adewale Adesina, who bared out his mind, to respond well, answering our various questions, posed to him in the course of our interview, with him , as reported below.
 Could you please introduce yourself?
I'm Dr. Adewale Adesina; Proprietor anb Founder of ADECOM College of Business and Management in Ibadan.
Education as the bedrock of any society, in Oyo State and elsewhere parents and guardians want to know better of what quality their children and wards are given in education, then what does ADECOM Institute of Business and Management provides as educational service, to the society?
Okay, when you say parents, well, our focus is not much on the parents but our focus is on the youth, that we believe are the bedrock of this country, and that they are the one that can give us what we want, by catching them young... but regards your earlier remark at the introductory stage , that whether the standard of education is falling, you know, the truth should be told, I don't believe the educational standard has fallen in Nigeria, it is only we left what should be done undone, number one, the foundation , like you came to us from the ground floor, to where we are at the top of the building; this is higher-institution, so if governments are so more interested in education they should put more effort, in what sense; look at the teachers, how many of the teachers can boost of what they are doing, where is the passion, the passion has lost, I remember those days when we were in secondary schools, compared to what we are having now, many people have withdrawn their students from government schools, how many people can afford that, so the government have a lot to do, when it comes to the foundation of the education, which is the bedrock of this higher institution, so if they are complaining that students are not performing well as expected, then let us go back to the foundation, of the teachers, are they really doing what they should do, and if they are not doing what they should do then what is the problem, many of them have something else they are doing apart from the teaching job, which what they are earning cannot sustain them, so how many teachers can boast that he is having a good car, house and can feed three meals a day and their children are going to the best schools and would want to train another people's children well, this they may not, so what you don't have you can give it, and that is on a part, but we at ADECOM; our school is a specialized school, we are monotechnic,  though there is no difference between monotechnic and polytechnic, the only difference is that we cant do multiple courses, we specialized on what is called Management,.
Why ADECOM is different from others is that, our goal is so much on entrepreneurship, we believe children nowadays have to have one handwork, together with the courses they are doing, for example most of the students we say I want to become a business-administrator, a public administrator, an accountant,  etc, ask them do they really know the meaning of that course, ask them what is the future of that course, ask them where are they going to work, what is the product of that course at the of the day, now if you want to go and learn a carpentry work; the parents will take you there and say you are spending three years, they start buying you equipment, when you finish you will do graduation, definitely, you will start working, but school nowadays, at the end of the course how many students know where they are going to work except the lawyer, pharmacist, doctor, even the accountant does not know that he can stand on his own, so our own is a program to train them independently, entrepreneurship, we dont want a student that will finish and just start be looking for job, we will expose them, we got our approval last year April, and before next year we will produce our first crop of graduates and you can come back, we will show you our products, because at the end of year of their courses, we will introduce them to the Secretariat, where they belong, public administrator student must know about government, must know Secretariat, where they want to work, we will take them there, the idea of Industrial Attachment is not to take money, but to expose them, and during that we will also expose them to handwork, our Friday is meant for handwork, school is from Monday to Thursday, Friday is handwork, you have to go and learn something, within that years you are going to spend with us, you must be able to come out with Accountant with Fashion Design, Business Admin with whether Block Making or whatever, so that is our focus as an ADECOM, we believe much in handwork and compared with academics.
What is your advice to the Oyo State Government regards the seven thousand teachers the State government is about employing?
Well, it is a good thing that the government is coming by employing seven thousand teachers, at-least it is giving them employment and when employment is given, first thing the government should do is to consider where the seven thousand teachers will work, where is the environment, where are the classrooms, what even is the statistics of the number of students, that they have taken, are you saying seven thousand you are going to employ and you are taking two or three thousand students, the first thing is let us do something about the facilities, the welfare of this so called teachers to be employed, even the teachers on ground you have to do that one first, show example of what those coming in should take, okay, a glass of cup that is dirty; you are now pouring a new water into a dirty glass of cup, first thing is that you have to wash that cup, let it be clean, when it is clean, if you are putting any clean water inside it will show, so that is my own advice, though I know there is unemployment in the country, but we cant continue to allow things be degenerating, no, no, the people there first, what have you done, to make things right, let us go back to those days, the first time I went to radio, I congratulated the governor, it falls to his birthday time, which I pray for him, that God will help him to make Oyo State what it should be and this is part of it too, I'm not saying it is not good he is employing but what about those on ground, what is the motivation, what is their fate, what are you trying to put down, are they still coming to join those ones crying, no, in our days, go to our library, you will see books, even then they will give them meals, you will want to go to school, but nowadays, it is not like that, what about the buildings, class, environment, so this are the first thing I will expect the government to put in place, while employing the teachers.
What are the courses ADECOM is offering to the students, as of now?
As at now, we are offering Business Admin, Public Admin, Computer Science and Accountancy , by next year we will have our first batch of graduates for ND this year, next year we will proceed to have HND by the approval, from the National Board for Technical Education.
It is prevalent to see private schools engage in malpractices during examination, what is your take on this?
You know I have been busy when you came but I know that there are rules and regulations guiding our students' movement and you can see that they abide by that, we have to let them know some routine, when you talk of private schools engaging in malpractices I will disagree with that, because I run a private school and I believe we are doing it better than the government schools, I have been on radio programmes many times, and I would say the parents are the problems, they are crazy about the names of the school and I have several times told them , when my students sit with any students from anywhere, they will get to see the positive difference, in the quality of my students, so what will one be doing than to help the government and the economy and how to do that is not by encouraging  examination malpractices, I cannot do that, I don't do that, and I will never encourage any student when it comes to examination malpractice , no, let us know who you are, so I will never encourage  any student  to involve in any exam malpractice, no, because it is what you know that you will be able to to give others.
Now, I have my children too, schooling, maybe the students will be the ones to teach my children, so what will be my fate, if I do that, so if we have any one doing that I will advice them that they are not doing well, they are just destroying the future of these students

"What impressed me to come back to PDP from APC as at now, is the performance of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State"-Elder Segun Olayiwola, Akinyele political stalwart.

                                                           PRESS CONFERENCE
                                               WITH ELDER SEGUN OLAYIWOLA
                                FORMER AKINYELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN
WHO DECAMPED FROM APC TO PDP
                                                   WITH HIS TEEMING SUPPORTERS
IBADAN, OYO STATE ON 6TH OF FEBRUARY, 2020
                                                 AT AKINYELE, MONIYA PDP'S OFFICE.

Politics is the art or science of government and a profession and means of winning , keeping governmental control. so also it is seen as an academy to impart the fundamental ideas, intrinsic and intricacies on how to serve, in directing the affairs of a state.
However, in the course of learning to acquire experience to serve effectively, it is essential and important to know what to do, when to do and how to go about it, while many with the acquisition of the experience couple with initiative and fear of God justify themselves of the call to serve well and impart and impact their society commendably, to leave good legacy behind, yet some stray away from the course of duty derelict of substantial contribution, though history and record will be there to adjudge both as the case maybe .
Meanwhile, not quite long ago  a political stalwart in Akinyele, a former Chairman of the Akinyele Local Government; Elder Segun Olayiwola crossed from APC to PDP where he had had a stint for sometime and being the fact that he has contributed a lot to the development of his society and the betterment of his people's welfare, as a true type of the former class of the politicians that believes in the service to humanity  and a protege of the school of thought of Late Kolapo Olawuyi Isola, also a former but late governor in Oyo State, so the decamped politician with his teeming supporters were welcomed back to the fold of PDP, with pomp and pageantry, .
Elder Segun Olayiwola, a professional Town Planner, political stalwart, who had served under the tutelage of both living and died political juggernaut, timber and calibre of people like Late Kolapo Ol;awuyi Isola, Chief Christopher Alao Akala also a former Governor of Oyo State to mention few, had served earlier in the different capacities as political administrator and a former Akinyele Local Government Chairman.
Nevertheless, he organized a press conference where some members of media professionals from different houses were present to have a chat with him, on what led to his exit from APC for PDP,  to which he belongs before and also what motivated him to have decamped from APC to PDP and to this he recapitulated on what, why, who , when and how led to his decision on his return to PDP as reported below
-----------:
You are welcome to the session, I'm Olayiwola Olusegun , former Chairman Akinyele Local Government, Moniya, a politician of note, with my career running of about how many years now in politics; I actually started politicking in 1987 and up till date I have been in politics, that is about thirty three years ago and we started from nowhere to where we are today, we started as a trained politician under Baba Kolapo Olawuyi Isola, may his soul rest in peace, when I came from NYSC from Anambra State I joined him so that he could be able to get me employed, but yes he did that for a while, later he invited me to join him min politics but I resisted and I said you know I'm a Christian and by the grace of God politics is not meant for me but he told me "If I can wait then you could wait", I started watching him, along the line I could see that politics and religion with humanity go and in hand, you could see that however rich you may be without being in government there is little you can do, for the betterment of your people, because your riches , your wealth is limited but where you can get unlimited resources to get that of the thought for the people lies with government, for those who are out there to better the lot of their own people and by the grace of God, our antecedence would proves that, I started as a Councillor in 1991, I was Councillor Akinyele Local Government in 1991 and we started under Parliamentary System, so whoever was to be a Councillor out of the councilors they chose that there should be supervisory Councillors, so I was opportuned to be chosen as the supervisory Councillor for health, under the State administration, but not long after that Gen. Babangida Badamosi changed the system from the Parliamentary system at the Local Government to the Presidential System, there I was made the Council Leader of Akinyele Local Government. Later in the year I was made the Secretary of the then Oshun/Oyo State Council Leaders' Forum, that was the position I held until the end of our tenure in 1993 and from then because people like me all what we want in politics is to better the lot of our people , like I said so there is no hustle in struggling, what we be will be, until there was nothing to do I ventured into my own profession , because I was trained as a Town Planner, I studied Urban and Regional Planning, and I studied Council Development and Management and got Masters here and there and add my Msc Housing Development and Management, you know they go hand in hand, Urban and Regional Planning, Housing Development and Management. And I returned into private practice, I started a  property Develoment Company named Greeceland Property Limited, Greeceland Int'l property LMC of Maryland America, and that was what I was doing in between and as God would have it when Late Oga Lam Adesina came to power as Governor of Oyo State I was made a pert time member of Oyo State Youth Development Council, in politics if your interest is to serve the people, there is no position that could be regarded as being too small , take it , at that small level you can still get some people to assist, so I accepted it, that time I think we were earning five thousand per month and when I was Councillor we started as seven hundred naira per month, when it was changed to Parliamentary the Councillor were earning three thousand naira five hundred, those of us that were Council Leaders  were earning six thousand five hundred that was all we were earning  till we left office, no come six thousand when I was made a member of Youth Development Council of Oyo State we were of five thousand per month and by the time we left the AD for PDP  they thought of some of the members among who myself and Chairman Oyo State Youth Development Council Professor Soji Adejumo, two of us were shown the way out because we left AD for PDP  and from that time until 2007 December, when I contested I win the Chairmanship Akinyele Local Government and on the assumption of office I was made the assistant secretary of the Algon and my colleague Hon. Ismail Adedeji was also there , he was the Chairman of Atisbo Local Government, I was in the council between 2007 to 2011, I ran a term of three years after that I was chosen a caretaker chairman for another six months , so making three years , six months and to the glory of God, history is written in our favor, in our favor because ever before I became the Chairman only about two or three people had the opportunity of tarring roads with asphalt, in Akinyele Local Government, well Baba Kolapo Olawuyi Isoal opened the route to tarred a road, the first Chairman of PDP in Akinyele Professor Adeniran tarred the Local Government premises, Hon. Yemi Aderibigbe tarred two to three roads, but to the glory of God , for my three and half years, the opportunity God gave us we did not misuse it, we were able to tarred twenty two roads, I built a block of four classrooms and that was my own design, as a town planner, because to them it was either a block of three classrooms or six classrooms, I realized that I cannot  afford to build six classrooms with all responsibility, six classrooms was ideal then, at-least in a rural school one classroom per class , but when I could not afford to build the block of six classrooms in a number of schools I want it, I now designed  a program; a block of four classrooms, my design was that the classroom has blackboard either side, because out of the nineteen schools I built, about fifteen of them there were no classroom at all, it was as if they were using churches around, bales house, big house or sheds out there, so we designed a block of four classrooms ; Primary One and Two kept in a class, they were kept in a class, with the use of partition to separate them, a class will face right and another to the left, Primary three and four were using the same class and you know when you graduate from Primary four to five you are already preparing yourself for the task ahead, so they were given only one class, so we provided the class, where they were tutored, for the role they were likely to play in the future, when they get to Primary six, that was where they take Common Entrance, so they were left alone and that was how we came about our design of a block of four classrooms, with the headmaster's office and a toilet, so we built that, then what of if I want to talk of the number of boreholes, covet-pipes, etc.
And in the religion circle when I assumed office as the Chairman Akinyele Local Government I wonder about the thought that over eighty to ninety-five percent Muslim population worship at the uncompleted Central Mosque in Moniya Akinyele, the Mosque they have when I was they and they built it during Governor Kolapo Olawuyi Isola regime, and they did the little they could about it, so Baba /Alhaji Suara Adeleke usually called Alhaji Agba and also the Chairman Butchers Association Oyo State then sold his house at Yemetu to do something in thaqt Mosque, they eventually squandered the money, all they could do was to get basement prepared for Talanpe; for prayers,
In-fact when I assumed office as the Chairman or even before I became the Chairman almost three governors; Military Governor Adisa; this I was told by Late Alhaji Arisekola and Late but former Oyo State Civilian Governor Lam Adesina, Former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, who were Muslim had visited the Mosque and promised to do one thing or the other but were incapable to do anything, maybe due to shorty of capital , you know one thing I believe is that whosoever God has destined to do something will be the one to do it, and as they were waiting for who will do it, then I called the leadership of the Mosque, that I wanted to try something  about the Mosque but behind they felt skeptical and teased behind that how will I be able to do that, with the governors being unable to do it, though it was only Governor Rashidi Ladoja that did something about it, to have given them Two hundred and fifty thousand, according to the history, so I started  despite  the fact that I cannot perform to use all the lot of the money that belongs to the Akinyele Local Government on the Mosque, because the Christian will talk , so one day we had an executive meeting and I told them at the meeting that I had a conviction that we should start something about the Mosque, because it is the only unifying factor of our people in Moniya , if we are able to achieve a little I think this people will like us and will like our government, so I told my people ; my Vice Chairman, he is a serious person, and I said Vice Chairman you are going to be the Chairman of the Committee I'm going to set up, Director of Finance give me somebody that one is going to be Accounting Officer, so also I talked to CPM to give me somebody that is going to be the Secretary of the Committee, yet I talked to the Director of Works give me somebody, that one is going to be the Clerk of the Works, after which I told the Executive Council of the Mosque to give me two people to represent them and all these persons, from the different quarters constituted the ad-hoc committee for the project, now we started immediately, after our salary every moth, there is a standing order by me, to set  aside five hundred thousand into a dedicated account, for the Mosque, after the third months, we started on the building............................................................I still helped to build two churches, one I built before this other one that have been completed to the rooftop level  and it was so big and tall, so they needed 2,5million, I'm talking of 2009, they approached me........................................and I sought the approval of the Governor who acceded to before I gave them.........................................................But can you believe it that when we approached the end of the completion of the mosque; someone was envious of our performance and now went to approached the governor while the governor gave them 5 million...............................................yet the Chief Imam and the leadership of the Mosque appealed that though they knew I had tried a lot but will not mind to assist me to complete it, only that I told them I started the work and would complete it....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................so I called the director of Works, to quantify the cost for the completion of the Mosque, which they arrived at the cost of 5 million naira, so I approached the governor to approve the spending of the money, for the completion of the Mosque and he approved of it and we spent the money to finish the completion of the Mosque............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ On a lighter mood when we got to Moniya for today's event to declared for PDP, one of my boys said did I see how the event went gloriously with pomp and pageantry, that this could not be of the hand of Jesus that maybe I was using something fetish, even some of my present Council Chairman and Councillors said Oga, you must have used something fetish for this occasion to have gone so graciously and gloriously with teeming crowd of supporters of mine, yet I have not used anything fetish but that is what can do , if you can pray , if you can work, if you believe, trust and have confidence in the God you serve, He's not a god that can fail, whatever he says he will do he will do, it is how we started and this is where we are, you may want to ask what took me out of PDP...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................so, in 2017 when we were cheated all of us came out of PDP, because we knew it was a serious cheating.....................................................................................................................................................in annoyance we all came out of PDP, but than God we have all realized that  we over reacted truly, so that was what brought us to where we were, but if truly there is no place like home, our fathers who advised us frequently, have been diligently following me all the way immemorial in politics, hence at a juncture they advised us that they have got old and we should go back to where we belong; our homes, our place of rest, and since I don't think it would be too much for me to follow them, that is why you see us coming back PDP today.

........QUESTION TIME:=

Anybody that have passed through the school of thought of Late /former Governor Kolapo Olawuyi Isola who really graduated successfully and effectively being impacted should be automatically be accounted a role model, if not these Octogenarians will not be following you, but my question is to ask may be your aspiration is to go higher more than the place you are now, after this tenure  then are you not nursing the aspiration for a higher , Two; should we say the obedience to your fathers was one of the factors that brought you back to PDP?

Yes, to answer your question, infact if I had not obeyed them and even if I want to come back to PDP ; it would not have been now, because I would have loved the probability of getting my Oga to our side, because up till now, he has not agreed , and I have taken my babas to go with me to beg him, because some people came here last week , to plea with these babas, that they should tarry a bit, so it was the obedience to these babas, that brought us back, to where we are today.
Number two, I don't think there  is anybody in politics that don't have one ambition or the other , that desire must be there , even my fathers that are following me they are following me for the sake of God, because of God and at-times if there is any opportunity that they should also considered to benefit from it, so I have ambition but for now I keep that to my chest.

With this idea of Return of Hope of yours, what is your plan considering the development of the Akinyele Local Government.

Yes, my hope, my plan, my concern, my aspiration for Akinyele is a better tomorrow......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... If I now by His grace become something greater in future I'm going to make Akinyele a model State.

Your coming back to PDP is it a water testing, which after that you will win your Oga back to PDP eventually, Secondly with the followers that followed you back to PDP we will like to know the numerical strength and which parties have they come to join you in PDP?

Thank you very much , about whether our coming back to PDP is a water-testing; no , it is not, what brought people like me into politics is good governance, I feel they are not doing it the way it should be done and I have tested myself as Chairman and I could see that yes, people that have been doing it before me have not done it well except one or two like Baba Isola, it is only Baba Isola that I can doff my hat for and my Oga, even those before and after me, their achievement had not equated what I did alone.
And you know what impressed me to come back to PDP as at now is the performance of Seyi Makinde, that young man is fantastic

"Tourism is the best area of economic sector government can generates revenue optimumly"- Oyo State Chairman Culture and Tourism; Surveyor Debo Adejumobi

Man sees means of livelihood as a compulsory assignment, through which he can fends for his daily needs and cater for wants of life, hence the daily hustle going to-fro from home to look for what to do, to be able to make ends meet often tells on him, both psychologically and emotionally, and in the course of that, it is expected of him to have rest at intervals, but not many know the importance of recreation and with this a school of thought sees the necessity why tourist centers should be available, for many of tight schedule, being workaholic, to take a rest, through visiting places of tourism, like checking in to hotels to  have some days for relaxation and taking leave from home, while those services of other tourist centers are still numerous like recreation centers, for sight seeing, games, viewing centers, swimming pool, gyms/spa, libraries and other of the likes, these are the areas of hospitality services, where both youngs and olds can visit at intervals or even regularly, to ease off any emotional, psychological or physical stress, and this is the genesis of creating tourist centers here and there, all corners and crannies in the different countries of the world, therefore tourism is seen as an essential area of service, where a lot of revenue can be generated, while with the thought of this our editorial for News track-Online find it necessary, that it behooves will get more educated on this, to enrich the understanding of the readership, about the issue of tourism, especially considering that of the Oyo State, hence we
went further to visit Oyo State Culture and Tourism Board, where we had the opportunity to have an interview with the Chairman Oyo State Culture and Tourism; Surveyor Debo Adejumobi, as reported below.
 Sir, can we meet you?
I'm Surveyor Debo Adejumobi, Chairman Culture and Tourism Oyo State.
In Oyo State where are we in Tourism?
Actually, we are moving forward, the reason is that you know the commitment of government are many, you know we have four cardinal programs, which our Governor His Excellency Seyi Makinde is embarking on and to meet all those demands, we need to look forward to see the way and manner we can manage all the tourist sites that we have, so in the light of that the Governor deems it fit that it is better he partners with the interested investors, that he believes can transform most of our tourist sites and since inception when he came on board we have seen many investors showed interest, to partner with us and by the time Governor came on board he has appointed somebody in charge of investment, who is Honourable Ogunwuyi, and by the special grace of God meeting is already going on with these investors, and that of Eleyele we had meeting with investors, while also survey plan being on ground, we have gone there to inspect the area, being an inter-ministerial assignment, because it cut across environmental area, survey section, information, water, just to mention few, we went there together on inspection, even the first time ever that I will enter in a boat, it took us round, because the government want to develop that area to the world standard.
Another area is Bower Tower, you know those people that have performed one way or the other in the past we need to appreciate them, because in recognition of what they did, like that of Captain Bower Tower, he was one of those who put an end to the practice of ritualism; the act of using mundane for rituals, even settlement of quarrel, unrest among some people of the different backgrounds then, he was lucky because God used him to stop most of these problems.
Even, there is another Tourist Site at Ado Awaye, the investors are there with us, as suspend- link, the investors were with us a week ago and have made submission, in respect of that area, that is to let you know that government is more committed and concerned about the investment, while a priority is being given , hence he appointed a Director General for a special office, to search for investors, and because we  want to boost what we have and when we talk of revenue generation tourism is one of the thriving, fertile and lucrative area to generate very huge revenue.
What is your message to the members of the public?
My message is that when you labor you need rest and this is what many have not got right, they will work for the whole of their lives , without rest, but the European we copy they have it in a year, maybe a month or two for relaxation, after they have worked here and there, they will use that time to relax, we are talking of tourist attraction, those things we have not seen , we can go out to watch, for sight seeing, relaxation, go for hospitality visit at hotels, for enjoyment at recreation, and at any location these are sited it boost the economic development, provides employment opportunity, so I want to tell people that whenever they work they should set aside certain numbers of days, that they could relax and enjoy themselves, because when one labor one needs to enjoy oneself, through visiting any of these tourist sites.
What have you been doing lately to sensitize the members of the public about this?
We have started something tangible on this, because when you are doing something like this and you don't give it publicity people will not know and publicity is one of the thing you have to put into consideration, as you are doing it in the church, mosque then you will also do it on air through radio and television, from where people can see and hear what is happening.

"Our direct impact in the distribution of petroleum nationwide has helped the economic growth a lot in the country"-Chairman Oyo/Osun Petroleum Tankers Drivers, Elder Kehinde Babalola.

In Nigeria, Petroleum Tankers Drivers are known to be essential in the distribution of petroleum to the different depots and reservoirs nationwide, and it is the expectation of the people and government that with them in place, handling their task well, then the running of the chains of businesses, that requires the use of fuel would be auspicious of profitability, through uninterrupted activities, and this why they know their importance, since without fuel (petroleum) the movement of both the commuters and motorists could be grounded, not to mention the fact that fuel is important in the running of automobile engines and that of some factories, so in this case, it is often an assumption that though some could see the PTD officials as the errand boys for the distribution of petroleum, but their significance is immeasurable.
Therefore, the News-track Online Crew had the opportunity to interview the Chairman Petroleum Tankers Drivers for the Oyo and Oshun; Elder Kehinde Babalola recently and here underneath we unwind ed on the report of our interview with him.
Sir, can you please introduce yourself?
Yes, my name is Elder Kehinde Babalola, the Chairman for Oyo/Osun Petroleum Tankers Drivers.
What has been the challenge in the course of your service to the nation and her citizenry?
Our challenges are many and we must first of all give thanks to God Almighty, as there is nobody in life , without challenges, initially our regular challenges was that of having some of our tankers on trips for the distribution of petroleum being involved in accidents, while some even got engulfed in fire or for some unexpected havoc to happen on the road, to cause the breakdown of some of these tankers, but the newly challenge is that of the vandals, who break the petroleum pipelines, to tap petroleum illegally, which could abruptly bring our normal and official activities here at the depot to a stop, you know it is when petroleum gets here through the pipelines we can work and distribute petroleum as expected, so the problem of the vandals is what we are facing presently, just like that of the one that happened in Lagos, not too long ago, where many lives were lost and million worth of properties were burnt, but we thank God, because the line of that of Oyo State, about such occurrence and instance had been well handled, with prompt and effective intervention, from the security operatives, like that of the team of civil defense officers, at the order of their Oyo State Commandant and that of the Oyo State Commissioner of Police in respect of the provision of policemen, who had tried a lot and still trying for us, with their efficient and timely assistance, given to us anytime, we need their services, on such occasion.
My other advice to our people is to be vigilant and concerned about the several pipelines, that passed through many villages and towns,in their areas, from Ibadan to Ilorin, anytime they notice any petroleum tankers unnecessarily being packed or plying such areas, where they are seen to be with no specific petrol station, they should know such occupants of the tankers are up to causing havoc or on an illegal mission, to break and tap petroleum illegally, and in the avoidance of this they should raise an alarm, for the security operatives and people to know this.
Sir, since you took over the control of your present office, as the Chairman Oyo/Osun Petroleum Tankers Drivers, what has been your achievement?
Well, since we are dutifully to serve as loyal but errand officials in the distribution of petroleum, ours is to make sure of the safe and efficient distribution of petroleum, as you can see before there was a time members of the public were to wait and queue at several petrol stations, but by now it is a thing of the past, as a result of our direct impact in petroleum distribution nationwide, and this is helping a lot in the economic growth of the country, and even it is a common occurrence to see people buying fuel at heir choice of any petrol station, because fuel is in adequate supply and very available.
Sir, with the good track record of your predecessor, Chief Salimon Oladiti, a proficient and hardworking National Chairman of the Petroleum Tankers Drivers, what can you say about him?
Chief Salimon Oladiti is known for his pleasant and accommodating nature, so also he is more committed to creating ways, to ameliorate people's suffering, either through his direct responsibility, in the discharge of his duty officially or in his relationship with the members of his society and the community he belongs, you know his impact and relevance in the society is not that of political factor but that of his humane nature to people, and it is his antecedence that cannot be pushed aside, for his recognition and respect among his people in the society, so his good reputation and influence among his people is significant
