President Tinubu's government would do the needful to make livings better soonest- Chairman South West LCD Amalgamated Support Group; Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina.

Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina, Board of Trustees Chairman Tinubu Lagacy Forum Chairman South West LCD Amalgamated Support Group has defended that soonest the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinunu would do thecneedful to make livings better for the Nigerians.

The Chairman said there are many palliatives' programmes that would be introduced, under the government of President Tinubu soon to cushion the effect of the economic hardship for the citizenry and thus bring relief to them.

He cited an instance of some amount of money that has been taken to forex, to normalise the rate of naira to dollar.

Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina described Jagaban of Borgu, President Tinubu as a strong, reliable and principled politician, who has passed the test of time, and has stood his ground in the promotion of common interest of the generality of people and humanity.

This he established that President Tinubu is a pathfinder and a torch to liberation, from who many of those at the topmost echelon and lower rung of ladder have immensely benefited. Here he stressed that when the good development begins under his government Nigerians themselves would be impressed and clamour that he should continue for second term.

He vouched the reason for the removal of petrol subsidy by President Tinubu's government as a right step, to stop unnecessary rip off the country's proceeds, from the sales of petroleum by some unscrupulous elements in the country, who smuggle barrels of crude oil to the neighbouring countries, to sell at higher profit, at the expense of the country Nigeria. But emphasized that with time the cost of fuel would soon drop.

Alhaji Ganiyu who declared to have developed his admiration and respect for President Tinubu, since the period of June 12 struggles, with the immense role played by Asiwaju Tinubu, who championed the good course of June 12 on behalf of Late/Chief MKO Abiola and well deserved consideration for the people of Nigeria, then was from that time he has seen Presiden Tinubu as a good and true leader, so committed and has never relented nor run from the true course of justice and emancipation of the Nigerians, from impoverisation to the improvement of their social welfare.

However, the Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu A. Adesina explained the objective for the formation of the Amalgamated Support Group as a medium to give their own unalloyed support to President Tinubu, which they as multiethnical groups and members all over Nigeria have actively started doing since the declaration of presidential ambition of President Tinubu to his emergence, with several activities organised by members of the groups before and during election that gave victory to President Tinubu, as they organised and canvassed support for him throughout the states in Nigeria. This was the effort the championed its course, to the emergence of President Tinubu.

Meanwhile, he pledged that the teeming members, and supporters of President Tinubu would never relent, from giving their unflinching support to him and throughout his tenure in office and beyond, to keep his legacy intact.

Ibadan is Long Overdue for Development.- Chief Abdullahi Abiola Alli, President Omo Ajorosun Club, Ibadan.

Chief Abdullahi Abiola Alli, President Omo Ajorosun Club Ibadan recently has defended reasons why Ibadan, the great and most populous metropolitan city in Africa is long overdue for development.

President Omo Ajorosun Club Ibadan Chief Abdullahi Abiola Alli cited several reasons to buttress up his defense that Ibadan being an agelong seat of political activities for the Yorubaland, so also serves as a metropolitan city of attraction to different people from several tribes in Nigeria, who have been directly and indirectly got lured into the the city for sojourn and exploits, in seeking for their means of daily livelihood, yet many have seen the city as an esteemable and admirable place suitable to undergo their educational pursuits, the accomplishment of their careers and political orientation and adventures, as some have passed through these to greater heights in their field of professions and political experiences while others are still in the mainstream of political activities in Nigeria.

However, Chief Abdullahi Abiola Alli enunciated that the presence of several monumental edifices like Cocoa House, University College Hospital, University of Ibadan, National Television Authority, Research Institutes to mention few has even added more values to the great beauty and power Ibadan has since the days of yore, to have made Ibadan more eligible to deserve a state now.

On this the prominent and accomplished banker, Chartered Accountant and distinguished administrator Chief Abdullahi Abiola Alli further adduced the fact that considering what qualifies a big city like Ibadan for a state of its own should have, could not be a gainsay that aside both human and natural resources Ibadan has in abundance, the great metropolitan city Ibadan has enough virtues, values and advantages to its side, that made Ibadan has more than enough requirement, to earn it a state of its own, under the present civilian regime of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Chief A. A. Alli showed his conviction and elation that Ibadan being long overdue for development, that it has been a welcome occurrence for how some high chiefs have been elevated to the status of royal highness, this he commended, that it would add more glamour, respect and dignity to the position of His Imperial Majesty Olubadan of Ibadanland, which he considered to be a part of the long over due development Ibadan indigenes had awaited for many years past and that it is a part of what could be the requirement, for the attainment of an Ibadan State, hence he lauded the effort and involvement of several prominent, illustrious and successful Ibadan indigenes, who are both at home and diaspora, who have contributed one way or the other to the achievement of the elevation of these High Chiefs to the status of Royal Highnesses.

Nevertheless, he commended the present Oyo State Governor Oluwaseyi Makinde, for his wisdom and acumen to have seen the cogent reason for such development and thus agreed to the ratification of the application from His Imperial Majesty Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Mohood Isola Olalelekan Balogun for the elevation of the High Chiefs to the status of Royal Highnesses.

By and Large, he described such development as a tip of the iceberg ,for more apt, right and great development to become of Ibadanland soonest, as time through days unfolds towards the process of making Ibadan State attainable.

Isese is about importance of creation and the origin of humanity in nature.

Chief Ifalere Ifagbenro Adeifa, Nigerian Justice of Peace, Mogaji Agbo Ile Oso Adegbenro of Oluokun Compound in Ibadan, and the Chairman for Masquarades in Oyo State, also a member of Omo Ajorosun Club Ibadan recently in our interview with him about Isese day, held on the 20th of August, 2023 shed more light on it, as an epoch making event, to mark the importance of creation and origin of humanity in nature.

The traditional Chief further stressed that the celebration of Isese portrays the essence of giving reverence to God, for His creation in all aspects, as of natural manifestation and the expression of the uniqueness in man's development and purposeful evolvement, in myriad potentials and qualities.

Chief Ifalere Ifagbenro Adeifa so also expressed as thus, that regards the destiny by which a man came to the earth, considering the conjugal relationship between the parents, could be described as of varied passages, which such person derived his natural endowment and biological inheritance, and thus these are essentially worthy of note, respect and reference, for his developmental growth, to assuage his earthly challenges and problems in life.

Hence, these passages and origin of his emergence to the earth, came first, as priority and necessity of his creation in nature, for divination sake.

In accordance, this as privy to his creation and developmental growth, contribute a lot to his experience, understanding and knowledge of his environment and life.

However, the erudite Ifa scholar, Chief Ifagbenro still reiterated that naturally there are some custodians of power; mystical, social and magical, who as well could influence the destiny of a man, therefore, they too occupy some spiritual but territorial expanse, as arranged by God to be the part of His natural composition in creation.

Meanwhile, here Chief Ifalere clarified that there are difference to such entity, in accordance to environments, tribes, clans, races, nationalities, which could be identified with each tradition and culture, in wholeness of their status quo (es)

He said Isese was accounted to be the supreme point of ritualistic consideration and consultation about a man's destiny and developmental growth.

Nevertheless, he advised to denounce a misgiving or misconception about Isese as a gory way of shedding humans blood for sacrifice of any kind, but rather explained well that it is a sheer way of life, to communicate with God directly, and naturally, in order to appease Him, to heed to one's supplication, while in actual fact, the efficacy of these prayers demands one to abide and imbibe the spirit of love, peace, harmony, stability in ones environment, and so also relate well with other fellow human beings, in upholdment of utmost expression of justice, fairness, truth, integrity, care and concern for coexistence, that could leads to a successful sojourn on earth.

2022 POST WITH DR TAYE AYORINDE ON OLUBADAN INSTALLATION AND CONSTITUTION PALAVA

Interview with Dr Taye Ayorinde

Nigeria Constitution must be harmonized for Egalitarian Society”- DrTaye Ayorinde

With the present state of things  in Nigeria; it is glaringly clear that the present constitution being used to run governance ,have oftentimes been a subject of controversies, hence many social critics believed it should be reviewed to enable an enabling environment’ for  co-existence of the heterogeneous tribes in the country; Nigeria’ hence our medium deem it behooves we sample opinions of the various schools of thoughts o0n this, hence our editorial crew paid a visit to a distinguished social critic, communicator and Baale in Ibadan; Dr Taye Ayorinde who we had an interview with recently at his home-based Ibadadan, Oyo State, and here underneath we unwinded  on  our interview with him, as reported below:

Sir, with due humility we would like you introduce yourself briefly ?

Well, I am Dr. Taye Ayorinde , I happened to be first and foremost the Baale of Ekotedo but before then I was Chairman Oyo State Commodity Monitoring and Pricing , an Adviser to the British Government Commonwhealth African Programmes at the Central Office of Information, once a Manager for NTA, I Adapter Village Headmaster; I brought out the Saturday –Square and I involved in Magazine Programme which was coined to bring out people of note together, but I was also the head of drama department of NTA. I was the first Chairman NTA drama Festival in Nigeria and so on and so forth. I you ever heard of Arts Alade; He was on my programme called Bar beach Show, by which I came out to limelight and I that is the person I am, and apart from that I am also…..(interrupted) well apart from anything else, I happened to be the Chairman Yoruba World Assembly, from the onset I was a member of National Development Council of Traditional Rulers, so also I am a social commentator.

Sir, as an industrious and notable Yoruba Son and Baale, what is your opinion in respect of Yoruba clamouring for Yoruba State; Odua Nation, are we ripe for it?

There are three areas to for that, some people were clamouring for secession, some for self-declaration, some want restructuring, they are all talking sense but is secession right; No!, you can’t secede , no, it is  negative, to plan to secede you have to fight for it but have you got the wherewithal to fight?, No! the guns, bullets you have not, anything you have not got, that is why  secession is wrong. But again Self-declaration requires to have fulfilled yourself from the economic, cultural, social and international angles, then you can easily say oh! We can go, you must have secured yourself well on that to stand on your own. But with the present dispensation, the government , it cannot allow that, on the side of Yoruba, why? Because most of the economic structures that are on ground they are not only from Yo4ruba but generally at the Southern part of Nigeria hence they will not want to allow it, but soon3er than later; “Bi o ba pe titi idi a la a to be fe su.” So I would rather subscribe ro when we had Western Region, we would have declared our intention to stand alone, to cater for any other things, in this marriage that is not working. Since when we were alone, we achieved a lot of things many things we have , like industries galore; the first Television, Cocoa House, solidly built secretariat etc,. When Chief Awolowo took education to them, they did not accept education, they prefer the Rankadede and Boko Haram system, that is, they don’t need education, the repercussion of not accepting books is what is called Book Haram; the Almajiris system, all those young ones then have grown up to be Almajiris; BokoHaram, yet it is not the fault of these Boko Haram but that of the system being put there then, even now that people are going to schools there then have been tortured by Boko Haram, Bandits, to say No!. Look at how many schools being destroyed there, if that is the case ; “Bi apa ko ba se e san, a n ka le ori ni”. That is, if they don’t want to accept us the way we were doing before and they don’t want to accept that we need progressive life, then, we have to take our own decision for Self determination. But restructuring , yes, that is the cause of the imbroglio, because the constitution is not only worse, not working, wicked but corrupt. I can defend that, how can you have two laws in the country , we have one law for the North, the other for the South, instead of having one law for the whole country, that is one, was there any national conference, was there any collection of opinions and meetings of the States of Assembly  to Federal House of Representatives  or National Assembly members? No! but only few anonymous, who wrote it. Only those few people that wrote the constitution, but before you can say “We!” it must have involved those members of the arms of the government  I mentioned earlier, but up till today, they cannot mention all those who wrote the constitution. How can you write a constitution which supposed to be liberal in religion , a country which has many Christians and Muslims and everything in that constitution has to be of Muslim, mosque, you cannot find a single line that talk about Jesus, Church, what kind of constitution is that? That kind of constitution cannot go down well with the Christians, at the South, because we have intermarriages of Christians and Muslims. We cannot accept such constitution . Must I say because I married to a Muslim I should  cut off the head of the Muslim I married or vice versa, No way! Take for instance, in Ibadan, the tradition in Ibadan where high Chiefs married married to top Catholic and Muslim women, how  can you want to say you will banish that, No way !. So also I want to say this to every Nigerian are very selfish , before the advent of both religions we had our own religion. But why do they want to beat our own religion to the background, then why is that when they take any rich man or public functionary or any of them to court that they stole billions of money they will swear by bible or Quran , and in the long run they will swear falsely and find them guilty, to say “E se mi jeje”, but take Sango, Ayelala, Ogun for them , to swear, they find excuse to take caution, not to swear by these, because  of the immediate repercussion. Why don’t we think, why don’t they use  that as a point of deterrence. In  the constitution, it beggars for all resources in the South belong to all but the gold in Zamfara is only for Zamfara, No wa !, No. I shouldn’t be and that is why we say “What goes up mustb come down”. En en incidentally I have something to say about the Law of this country, but before this, to quell Boko Haram System, the solution is there , they are not using it, solution is not only military. I tell you what , let us go into the military. There are so many retired officers, why retired them, when they are good , but we take it that you have retired them, call all of them back because they are on the least of the country`s earning categories. They are in the least system, because these they were earning in office is still what they are earning at retirement, so if there is problem then they could be recalled, lets recalled them this time, to give solution, because some of them have been unduly retired, apologize for whatever and lets jaw, jaw and not war, war, from that meeting retreat of the entire general , retreat of the entire general ; they will get solution to this thing and I tell you another thing the issue of Boko Haram and Banditry, both try to do with the public, the public in the banditry aspect,  with information, all these banditry that have been taking  money , who has been giving them money must be traced, what kind money,we have a system that can trace them through phone, these people can be traced, GPS to trace them, why and what is our security agents doing about that, there are many aspects that becloud the whole thing, maybe some people are happy about all these negative that are happening against us, maybe I said, we need to do something to arrest such ugly development, millions of people have killed, through that, should we allow it to be like that, that is about that. About the economic cost ; oh! The economic cost of Boko Haram is enormous, how mch have we spent on pursuing  them, couldn’t we pursue them into Sambisa Forest? How much is the life of a child or a girl cost or boy cost?, all those people that have been killed, you cant  cost their lives.

“If my suggestion is taken; you will see utmost development take place in Ibadan, within six months, under the reign of Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland; the designated Olubadan”- Dr Taye Ayorinde

We had a chat with Dr Taye Ayorinde; Baale Ekotedo, to express his view on the present state of things about the issue of the installation of the new Olubadan after the demise of the last Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Saliu Adetunji Ogungunniso and this is how it went as reported below:

Sir, with the present imbroglio on the installation of the new Olubadan, you as a notable and respectable Baale of Ekotedo, could you acquaint us better of the whole situation , the cause and as well as the solution to arrest the ugly situation and thus bring it into a positive conclusion?

You have just asked me about the cause of the imbroglio in Ibadan, yes, sthe last Olubadan that passed on happened to be the Chairman of the whole Oyo State Traditional  Council, he was a good man, he was a man versed in the aspect of peace  and reconciliation, he hanled that very well. He did not jumped into wahala. But again em, you mentioned imbroglio, confusion, confusion has to be that unfortunately he made a tactical move  not about what is causing problem now, em, the rightful person to be Olubadan now, no other person than Senator Lekan Balogun, the proper person to be on the throne, because Ibadan system, or ascendancy to the throne is based on rotation, and then hierarchical rotation, that is Ibadan system, based  on that in all circumstances present Senator Lekan Balogun is the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, he is the rightful person to be there, but the hullaballoo of the imbroglio, of the controversy or delay in announcing him to be or be installed; though he mistakenly received crown and staff of office from the Late Gov. Ajimobi, whereas installation or promotion of  Chiefs as usually done by Olubadan of Ibadan, who is the prescribed and consenting authority, not the governor, but Senator Ajimiobi, the Late Governor thenalso meant well; I would tell you, usually when Olubadan goes out, he only goes with some chiefs, but Ajimobi wanted dignity for Olubadan, hence he installed those people as chiefs, though I think , if you called them chiefs; if you called them Obas, why gave them staff of office, but because you have given  them crown and staffs of office, you have made them Obas, and you declared them as Oba, announced  them as Oba, you proclaim them Oba, whereas there are position for another Oba, to which Senator Lekan Balogun is qualified, the question is how does he do it? Can he wears the Ajimobi Obaship crown and the staff given to him to become Olubadan of Ibadanland, and again pick his rightful  crown and staff of office due to him, for my position, my suggestion is that he should renounce the temporary , decorative crown and staff of office  that was given to him by Late/Governor Abiola Ajimobi and take his rightful place as Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Oyo State Traditional Council, bigger than Ibadan. How can you take two crowns is the question? Senator Ajimobi said when he was to give them the crowns, he said , “the staffs and the crowns do not erode their hierarchical positions”; that is a loose word. Because you said it does not, how can you made them an Oba, with a staff of office? This is the thing that caused the confusion. If they don’t, they should wait for court to judge, if the court say that they can wear two crowns, but where in Yoruba-land does an Oba  wear two crowns, it never  happens, and that is why am suggesting , with respect to my Oba to be ; Chief Lekan Balogun, that he should mind my word, with humility, saying to my Oba to be, to drop the crown and staff of Ajimobi, before he can take over the leadership of both Olubadan of Ibadanland andthat of Oyo State Traditional Council of Obas.

;Sir, regards the court case in respect of the challenge instituted against Late/Governor Ajimobi to have given them such crowns and staffs , and your advice  to the incoming Olubadan; Chief Lekan Balogun, how could he appeal to the rest involved in such a case to go along with him in the relinquish of the crowns and staffs ditto his withdrawal of their side of the defence in the court?

No!, once the head is off, if you cut off the head of a cow, what is the body body doing, it is tantamount lifelessness . Because he being the head that filed their defense, when relinquishes such position, other kingmakers agreed eventually. The kingmakers who are his colleagues given both the crowns and staffs should tread softly because whatever happened to Senator Lekan Balogun , the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland will affect  them eventually, that is why it is good for us all to look at it from a positive and pleasant angle, hence I’m giving my advice that the rightful person for Olubadan position now is Senator Lekan Balogun , the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, an educated PHD hoder, a former lecturer, a business mogul, good, he is the rightful person to be the OlubAdan of Ibadanland. My appeal to him, is that he should call all of his other high chiefs , his other Obas ,please think of relinquishing that crowns and staffs of office, they should keep them in their houses and let him take over the mantle and management of Ibadanland .

Do you expect he compensate these his colleagues or Obas or the high chiefs, for agreeing with him for such sterling decision?

There is no compensation because they have all first got compensation, when they first got the crowns and staffs. It is not him to compensate them, everybody must be reasonable with him, to have relinquished both staff and crowns.

Was this why you arrived at the cogent conclusion because you believe in the mythological  value and virtue of the Traditional Structure?

Yes! The traditional structure of Ibadanland is an enviable  structure, than a State or Country, it all goes peacefully but if in the contrary it may not be peaceful , but would denigrate the stool, they should give peace a chance , to give priority to standing order, hierarchical promotional orderliness and allow Lekan Balogun to be Olubadan of Ibadanland. And no Olubadan of Ibadanland has ever got to that position , the stool, wearing two crowns. They should be kind enough to herald the Ibadan people to hail them and not to see them as somebody daredevil, don’t be a daredevil to the tradition, don’t be a daredevil to the history , how, as Lekan Balogun is the most wanted to be on that stool now and he has to get there in a good way. Unfortunately people noticed that they were absent at the Late Olubadan of Ibadanland that burial rites that has passed on, all the programmes for the Late Olubadan , I don’t know why but probably they see themselves as Kings then how could they want to be another king again but if that is not the position, mayble they are planning to see things move well,  hence they did not come.

Okay, with your right and good suggestion to bring everything to positive conclusion; what is your projection with Senator Lekan Balogun, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan  on throne eventually; what level of development do you see Ibadan in about two to three years to this time?

Wow! If my suggestion is taken, you are talking of two to three years, it can’t be more than six months , you will see Ibadan turned around for good and the utmost development. Do you know who Senator Lekan Balogun is, Senator Lekan Balogun happens to be a technocrat, in the area of business, Business Management and Business Tutorial, he is a PHD holder, whose family has been in traditional status before, he is a personal friend, very respectful and religious, so I expect fantastic progress to be made, that is what I expected,. You see , you are talking of two to three years, but I am talking of six months, he most relates and dines with kings himself. Senator Lekan Balogun moves with kings and dines with them. Both the youngs and oldswould mostly enjoy his reign, such are his feat.

So he could be the perfect bridge between the old and young generation?

 Yes, exactly.

And this how we came to the conclusion of our chat with Dr. Taye Ayorinde, the Bale of Ekotedo who had from his cache enlightened, educated and informed us better, about the position of things, regards the installation of the new Olubadan and the circumstance surrounding the delay, but with much believe that things would be brought to normalcy, as “Aji  se bi Oyo la n ri Oyo ki n se bi baba enikan.

NEWS:

“Oba Lekan Balogun is the man who the cap fits.”- Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi, CEO Human Right Centre and Professional Social Welfare Practitioner

Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi, a human right activist has described the Olubadan designate Oba Lekan Balogun as the amn who the cap fits to be the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.

This he expressed, while being briefly interviewed by some crop of the journalists, who met him at the residence of the Olubadan to be; Chief Lekan Balogun, here the human right activist stressed that everything happens at God”s time, being natural and thus Ibadan being known for peace, is about warming up again, to usher in another Olubadan peacefully, as peace would continue to reign in Ibadan, since there has never been any rancor nor issue ever, in the installation of Olubadan  because of the well arranged and the traditional structure of the Ibadanland. Hence appraising well that Oba Lekan Balogun is now the present Olubadan to be.

However he envisaged to see Ibadan becoming well developed in about couples of months, with the experience and cache of a sound person like Otun Balogun of Olubadan, being part of the egg heads, of other professionals who are  so also industrious sons and daughters of Ibadanland, to attract much more innovation for both economic and physical development of the Ibadan city with utmost peace accompanying the unprecedented development.

Nevetheless, taking glimpse into the progeny of Aliwo Family of Senator Lekan Balogun, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi explained that  the Oba to be progeny had once  being in Obaship position; 1962 to be precise, and the then Oba in the lineage and his rule was peaceful and now that it has come to the turn of Oba Lekan Balogun, it is certain it would be peaceful by God`s grace .

Therefore he concluded to advise the people of Ibadanland that since the installation of Oba Lekan Balogun is naturalness, without any outside influence, as premised on the agelong traditional arrangement and structure, then the generality of Ibadan people both home and abroad should know that now is the time Ibadan people , to give utmost support to the new Olubadan and ensure that his reign is supreme and peaceful , to the adequate development  of Ibadanland and prosperous livings for all and sundry.

At the residence of the new Olubadan to be was Mrs Florence Amole aka “Mama Oyinbo Onigele”, who came to pay the incoming Oba homage and here she too expressed her joy at the positive development having Senator Lekan Balogun Olubadan as Olubadan designate, while she advised the Ibadan indigenes to support thew new Olubadan for fruitful and peaceful reign.

The Oyo Chairman for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Benjamin O. Akanmu has declared that the members of the Oyo State Christian Association are law abiding citizens and group of people, who will not take with levity
any directive from either Oyo State government or the Federal government, hence the directive and order being passed by both the Oyo State government and the Federal government to the citizens of the Oyo State and that of the country respectively to stay at home or not keep large group of people is being followed to the detail .
The elderly clergy man reiterated to stressed that since both the Oyo State and the Federal government have given the directive to stay at home, to the citizens of the country his members have taken it up to make sure they comply with the simple instruction, knowing fully well that it was for the sake of the commoners, aside the fact that if those of the high caliber in the society; that have the wherewithal to take care of themselves can be said to be infected recently with the virus, then how much more those of the commoners who may not be known or have the necessary solution to curing themselves of it, he therefore assured that his members have been complying with the government directive and making sure they are not keeping large numbers of people as stipulated by the government and yet doing their possible best to distant themselves from what could cause it and so also using sanitizers to rub hands, where necessary.
He commended both the Oyo State and Federal government for the proactive measure taken by their prompt warning given to the citizenry, to be on guard against this deadly virus, which he described to be a pragmatic way of enabling the  citizens to take caution against the spread of it and for the sake of their security, safety and personal health.

" It is when we come together, as we were before that we can increase on our strength, to take governance of the country; Nigeria from the ruling party of the APC at the centre"-Oyo State PDP Chairman Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha

NEWS
The Oyo State Chairman People's Democratic Party; Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha has described the South West PDP's Unification Rally held in Ibadan recently on the 18th of March, 2020 as a very good outing and event, which served the purpose it was meant for, to bring the members that have left the party before; back into the fold of the party, towards the preparation for the 2023 general election.
He stressed that the machinery has been put in place, with an ad hoc committee, being set up to make sure others that have not come would soon be back, which is a simple thing to do , to bring the aggrieved members together, because they are of the same house, buttressing up his point that it is an usual occurrence, to see the children of the same family have dispute among themselves at time, while it is not also strange to call them together, to mend the fence, and that is what the committee set up to see into settling the matter is trying to do now, which they have previously attempted, before the election, while they got positive answer to some and along the line some people fell apart and defected, but those who did not join the party to do the exercise then have now been coming back to the party, because they are like brothers and sisters of the same house.
However, regards the party's preparation towards 2023 election, as a major party and an opposition party to the ruling party; APC at the center; he emphasized that all members have realized it is better they resolve their differences, to come together, to salvage the party, because they are from the same party, while along the line some members went to another political parties, hence this is the reason why the party's executive have been trying to resolve the differences among the members amicably, so for those who don't believe in that philosophy before; they are  now believing it, to see the reason why it is better that they come together, as they were before, so that they can increase on their strength,by which the recent rally in Ibadan has proven, to be of a good step and a better beginning, and  nevertheless the party's Chairman reiterated that his party is preparing well, to take the governance of the country; Nigeria from the ruling party of the APC at the center, by next election come 2023.
He therefore assured their teeming members and supporters that cut across the country, especially Nigeria, that now is to be serious by the members to make the party formidable, which they have started on a good step, with the success of the rally, by which the South West PDP have displayed the priority, to see that members throughout the zone come together, seeing what has happened during the last election of the Oyo State, which some members may not be thinking in that direction, but now they should take what happened that led to the seat of governance in Oyo State being taken from the APC, so this is what they want should happen in all states within the South West, with starting from former Governor Oyinlola of Oshun State and the likes of his colleagues, in order to save the country from bastardization, of the ruling party APC at the center, which knows next to nothing in governance, while he advised other party members who still remain outside or with the ruling party to come back into the fold of the PDP, before it is too late, as he wouldn't want it happen, but to come back, for them and the party's benefit, in order to put all their resources together, to get the power back from the APC party at the center .

Same at the rally was the Ondo State 2023 Gubernatorial Aspirant Hon. Charles Banji Okunomo a one time Local Government Chairman and PDP's party secretary in Ondo State, who was present at the event, but made known his intention to contest for 2023 election in Ondo State, so also described himself as a tangible symbol of the party in Ondo State, and simply put it that the ultimate option for the party is to make sure both old and young with all members of the party come back onboard, to make the party strong to win the next general election come 2023, in order to make life meaningful for the people of the country.
He promised to make sure he contribute his good quota to the development of Ondo State and add his value to the Ondo State development.
The aspirant shed more light on the state of things within the party members in Ondo State as being cordial and that of a family members, with the determined members, within the party in Ondo State ready to make the party strong as ever.
With this he enunciated on his assurance that he will emerge as the next governor of Ondo State because as a young man he sees his project as a divine one.

Chief Ojo from Oshun , a former Chairman Oshun Civil Service Commission also present at the occasion expressed his opinion to see PDP emerged once again as a strong party, to give APC a big challenge and eventually take the central government from APC; the present ruling party, he advised  the members of the party to become one and not allow any unhealthy rivalry, so as to work assiduously together and achieve their aim, because with unity they can stand to wrestle power from the APC
Honourable Sina Oyedeji of the Oyo State Local Government was among the members of the Oyo State PDP present at the event so also a member of the present administration in Oyo State, under Governor Seyi Makinde, expressed his opinion to say that with the good step being taken, by the South West PDP to have organized such a successful unification rally, held recently has shown clearly what to see as the best outing come 2023 for the PDP, as a formidable party to take the governance of the country from APC, hence people should expect good leadership and governance from the PDP , which is the party of the real people, that are well equipped for the real governance.

"NIGERIA SHOULD COME FIRST BEFORE ANY OTHER THING, THERE'S A LOT OF MISTAKE MADE IN THE PAST, IT MUST BE CORRECTED NOW.....we suppose to use our brain, God given brain for the masses, atleast they are people recorded of the most poverty stricken in the world, it is a shame"- Chief Abimbola Aboderin

INTERVIEW

 To stand up for what one believes even if the whole world is on the other side denotes integrity, with steadiness, as "pessimist only sees the difficulty in every opportunity but the optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty, hence it is the wish and expectation of every patriot and person of true nationalistic spirit "to bend over backward" in contributing his much quota , to the good of any nation he belongs, since he knows it is only by so doing he can better his lot and that of his people and this is the right posture of Chief Abimbola Aboderin in his response , to our various questions posed to him, to justify the reason why he and his team of Late MKO Abiola, Late Lamidi Adedibu, Chief Abimbola Ajibola; Mko'S lawyer and himself thought it right, to put their lives at stake, in their struggle for democracy, to be entrenched in Nigeria, with their positive activities, through June 12, which eventually brought in place; democracy. for the country and her citizenry, as a political system by which Nigeria is being ruled, to id the development of the country and that of the standard of living of her citizenry, through this encounter we had the opportunity to interview Chief Abimbola Aboderin as reported below;

 Can we know you sir?
 I'm Chief Abimbola Moyosore Aboderin.
Can we know you better than this?
Well, I'm the first son of Late Chief Moyosore Aboderin, the pioneer industrialist; i.e Tower Aluminium Company in Lagos (owned by the Indians now) and still a founder. He was the elder brother to Chief Olu Aboderin and financier of Punch, he was also pioneer politician having founded and funded Ibadan People's Party constituted by Late A.M.A Akinloye, Late Adegoke Adelabu, the first election Moyosore Aboderin came first and was first elected Ibadan man to be State/Federal Parliament in Lagos, also one of the three people officially chosen by the Parliament to represent Nigeria at the queen's Coronationin 1953, others with him then were Sir Adesoji Aderemi who later became the First Premier of the Western Nigeria and Sir Kasham Ibrahim who later became the first Premier of Northern Nigeria
Sir, you are a born into a political family , are you a politicain?
Yes, I'm . I worked with my good friend Late MKO Abiola, we were the one that did June 12 together, his lawyer; Chief Abimbola Ajibola, Late Adedibu, Abiola and Myself.
Sir, in nostalgia, what can you remember about June 12?
Wow, a lot of things, first of all I'm now finishing with the book I wrote called "The True Story of June 12", I've been in the Media with This Day, Guardian, Nation on this same issue, as I said I was part and parcel of it, only four of us made this issue; Late Abiola himself, Adedibu, Myself and Abimbola Ajibola as the Abiola lawyer, there is a lot of story about this event, a lot of people don't know the issue about this, how we fought for the issue of democracy, now we won election, my book is coming out on it, why General Babangida himself, what happened, why the election was annulled, Babangida who is one I know too, very well when I was in defense very well he didn't really know I was with MKO but we are friends, my book will come out and explain everything there,
Sir, democracy is seen as the best in the whole world, what is your take on this ?
Of course, democracy is people's choice, through it people choose who to lead them, in any struggle you fight there is always a prize, there is no ideology better than democracy, that is what we fought for,
What has been the impact of your June 12 fought that people are enjoying now?
Well, the one I now is that a lot of people in governance now are enjoying the struggle we fought for, everybody is enjoying it, what we struggle for, it almost caused our lives, a lot of money was involved, we even raised money for him; Three hundred and fifty million naira, it was kept in my custody twenty four hours.
Was Late Chief MKO the with the spirit of democracy, as initiator of June 12?
Of course, the idea of June 12 was that of the team, though he was the presidential candidate, but it didnt work, it was not just him alone, it was definitely a team work, atleast many people initiated it, four of us; Late Abiola, Late Adedibu, Myself and a lawyer,
Sir, with your struggle for democracy, what can you say about the state of democracy as of now in Nigeria, have we developed a bit?
Yes, it is better than before, I remember vividly I ran for election also 2003 under ANPP, it was a strong party apart from AD in the State and election wasnt good then. peole were just rigging and doing all kind of wrong stuff, INEC was even begging for money, but now they have started on the improvement.
What is your advice to the government and the citizenry particularly this time around, considering what is happening lately in the country?
Well, security is very important, because Iknow how much I have done a lot of working, ten years also in my life, after my Mass Communication in America, in the defense industry, so I believe that a lot of job needs to be done in security, you see Nigeria should come first, there is a lot of mistakes made in the past, it must be corrected now, we have to correct these mistakes, when we were in defense industry I tried my best because I read in the paper that Nigerian forces were totthless, when I got back to Nigeria, with my correction I brought directly, I did a lot of stuff and got approval for, so many things we have ; defense system, mobile system , some marine navy, non of them were bought, we put them in archive, to many testing in abroad, with so many people, one of them is my good friend Chief of Defense Staff Gen Martin Luther Agwayi, together he was my good friend, we did a lot of stuff, but Nigeria Forcve people were not that ready , in respect of our national security, if you dont have equipment you can be talking big; we have a big size, we have a big economy and then you dont have a security, that is our problem, we dont even have a single submarine in Navy, how can we monitor people taking our oil, if you people have a good defense system, which we tried to introduce in our time, it would made everywhere in Nigeria well secured, radars put in right places, guns everywhere in good places, coastal defense system, it could have been mounted at Nigeria high coast, that is what Nigeria could have done, that is why they they have problem with Boko Haram, and they cannot stop it, and you can see this people every other day bombing everywhere, I'm glad they are doing Amotekun here, they must do it fast, other people should do their own, we cant allow foreign people dominating us here, we are very proud people, very strong people, and another thing is the area of corruption, absolutely nothing, Nigeria should come first, the way people take money I dont know what they want to do with that money they are taking, billions upon billions, what are they going to do with it, even if you are not person to be born by the rich , it doesnt mean you have to take all the money, some will say let me quickly take mine as possible, and people also get it wrong saying it is a stunt; it is not stunt, he is there to serve, like National House of Assembly; the money they are paying them is too much, they must be on a part time, if American see you in politics, as most of them are successful in their various businesses and they must also know where you make your money from, the kind of money they are stealing here are really staggering and absolutely sad, see our people being refused visa, Nigeria; a big country, African giant, people who dont know history tht the first people are the black people, the people then' the Pharaohs in those days were black people, a lot of this stuff they dont know, so they must stop this stealing and put this money into good use, and try to manufacture, education, health and same other things that had gone wrong, people think it is life, life is not just anyhow, they are human beings, they are not life bound, we are not just here to take money and enjoy ourselves, we are suppose to use our brain, Go given brain, for the masses, atleast they are people recorded of the most poverty stricken in the world, it a shame,
So about your book on June 12, what is your plan?
Yeah, of course, that's why I'm writing a book for them to see and read, what really happened, I'm
not blaming anyone, but why we must not let it happen again, you know, I must confess, most of it when it eventually comes out I must give it to some Universities to use it, so that people can learn more through history, they can learn a lot of stuffs that happened, a lot of stuffs about June 12 , democracy of Nigeria, they dont know how it came about, it is what is in my book to come out, we hope by God's grace it would be launched this June 2020.

What can you say of Buhari's acknowledgement of June 12 with a posthumous award and the backdated recognition of Abiola’s mandate?

I think it is a job well done, I think Buhari has proven it is high time Abiola is recognized, it is not about Abiola, it is all about democracy, it is a job well done  and I commend Buhari for that.
In this nascent democracy since inception from Shagari to Obasanjo to Yaradua to Jonathan and Buhari presently, having Obasanjo achievement as of the GSM, what can you say has been the achievement of Buhari so far?
Well, for me I think Buhari is trying his best to fight corruption, corruption is not that easy to fight in Nigeria, something that has been embedded in the system, I think Buhari is trying his best, one thing is that all of us have to cooperate with him in that aspect, corruption is killing security in this country, and one thing paramount is that we all also must work together , to put an end to this corruption, it is killing a lot of things and including security, I think he is trying his best but he could do more.
With the situation of things in the country that the country is scrambling for unity and stability, what does the future holds for democracy?
Well, democracy is the only what could bring all the people together, nothing else, just let us put Nigeria first, it is our only country and that is where we are all living presently and it is beautiful, I lived in California , San Francisco the most beautiful country in the world so says the CNN, and I have travelled wide in America, I have seen beautiful countries over there and there is beautiful country here too, all we have to do is to forget about selfishness, wickedness and work as a team, because the world is looking at us, as the most powerful black nation but we are not taking it seriously, they have to take it seriously, they have to stop corruption, they have to live together, democracy is very important, let the people choose who they want to rule them and also rulership is service, people should come to government to serve the nation, not to come and take money but rule, they are suppose to come there and serve, so as simple as that.
You mean that MKO with some personalities make way for this democracy we are enjoying?
Of course, yes we worked very hard for it, MKO was chiosen as candidate, himself, myself, his lawyer, Late Lamidi Adedibu  we worked very hard, we almost lost our lives several time, for this democracy fighting seriously. I was also a good friend of Fela Anikulapo Kuti and King Sunny Ade and I promoted both of them , I took them round African countries, you know I shared same birthday with Fela Anikulapo Kuti but not of the same day, as there is a sort of activism in me
You said you want to lauch a book on Abiola, what year and what day?
Well, about the book, it is not so much about Abiola but most about democracy, June 12 is what it is because it was the best election in the history of the nation, it is unfortunate that it didn’t work out very well, I believe that it was not intentional for Babangida to have annulled the election, it was not done because of bad reason there are so many issues including many people, who are political huslers who were jumping from one place to other, trying to create problems between two good friends.
What lesson do you want to pass to the people on your book about June 12?
Well, first of all, a lot of people don’t know how Abiola got there, it was not easy , we thank God for the success, we have raised so many things, the book will reveal them, on getting there how we managed to survive it, we raised money for every other stuff and then the issue of INEC I have nothing against them, I think they have really tried their best , I cannot really blame them, the idea of Abiola to have declared abroad  could have been better but in Nigeria  it really backfired.
The day is very short on the introduction of that book June 12, what day have you chosen for the launching of the book ?
Well, I have just written the book as far as 1994, but I kept it in my house , I have just been moving on it, it became important when Buhari declared it is democracy day and I said now it is better I come out with the book, the book is not out to be against anyone, it is just the truth about what happened that the lesson we should learn is that we must take democracy seriously , people should stop jogging  from here to there  to create problems.

"Our focus is on the youth that we believe are the bedrock of this nation and the ones that can give us what we want, by catching them young"-Dr. Adewale Adesina , Proprietor and Rector of ADECOM College of Business and Management, Ibadan.

  INTERVIEW

   Education is the bedrock of any nation and through the education of the youth and the activities in adult literacy class;
it is believe a way of building the nation and setting the populace from ignorance, to be enlightened, educated, informed and be well equipped , in contributing their much quota to the development of their society, hence a maxim postulated to admonish that "If education is expensive try ignorance"yet no nation or group of people would want to be kept in the dark
Therefore, we found it essential to go out , taking a step further to source for the tips regarding this subject matter on education and here we found it needful, to seek for the indulgence of the Proprietor and Rector of ADECOM College of Business and Management in Ibadan, in person of Dr. Adewale Adesina, who bared out his mind, to respond well, answering our various questions, posed to him in the course of our interview, with him , as reported below.
 Could you please introduce yourself?
I'm Dr. Adewale Adesina; Proprietor anb Founder of ADECOM College of Business and Management in Ibadan.
Education as the bedrock of any society, in Oyo State and elsewhere parents and guardians want to know better of what quality their children and wards are given in education, then what does ADECOM Institute of Business and Management provides as educational service, to the society?
Okay, when you say parents, well, our focus is not much on the parents but our focus is on the youth, that we believe are the bedrock of this country, and that they are the one that can give us what we want, by catching them young... but regards your earlier remark at the introductory stage , that whether the standard of education is falling, you know, the truth should be told, I don't believe the educational standard has fallen in Nigeria, it is only we left what should be done undone, number one, the foundation , like you came to us from the ground floor, to where we are at the top of the building; this is higher-institution, so if governments are so more interested in education they should put more effort, in what sense; look at the teachers, how many of the teachers can boost of what they are doing, where is the passion, the passion has lost, I remember those days when we were in secondary schools, compared to what we are having now, many people have withdrawn their students from government schools, how many people can afford that, so the government have a lot to do, when it comes to the foundation of the education, which is the bedrock of this higher institution, so if they are complaining that students are not performing well as expected, then let us go back to the foundation, of the teachers, are they really doing what they should do, and if they are not doing what they should do then what is the problem, many of them have something else they are doing apart from the teaching job, which what they are earning cannot sustain them, so how many teachers can boast that he is having a good car, house and can feed three meals a day and their children are going to the best schools and would want to train another people's children well, this they may not, so what you don't have you can give it, and that is on a part, but we at ADECOM; our school is a specialized school, we are monotechnic,  though there is no difference between monotechnic and polytechnic, the only difference is that we cant do multiple courses, we specialized on what is called Management,.
Why ADECOM is different from others is that, our goal is so much on entrepreneurship, we believe children nowadays have to have one handwork, together with the courses they are doing, for example most of the students we say I want to become a business-administrator, a public administrator, an accountant,  etc, ask them do they really know the meaning of that course, ask them what is the future of that course, ask them where are they going to work, what is the product of that course at the of the day, now if you want to go and learn a carpentry work; the parents will take you there and say you are spending three years, they start buying you equipment, when you finish you will do graduation, definitely, you will start working, but school nowadays, at the end of the course how many students know where they are going to work except the lawyer, pharmacist, doctor, even the accountant does not know that he can stand on his own, so our own is a program to train them independently, entrepreneurship, we dont want a student that will finish and just start be looking for job, we will expose them, we got our approval last year April, and before next year we will produce our first crop of graduates and you can come back, we will show you our products, because at the end of year of their courses, we will introduce them to the Secretariat, where they belong, public administrator student must know about government, must know Secretariat, where they want to work, we will take them there, the idea of Industrial Attachment is not to take money, but to expose them, and during that we will also expose them to handwork, our Friday is meant for handwork, school is from Monday to Thursday, Friday is handwork, you have to go and learn something, within that years you are going to spend with us, you must be able to come out with Accountant with Fashion Design, Business Admin with whether Block Making or whatever, so that is our focus as an ADECOM, we believe much in handwork and compared with academics.
What is your advice to the Oyo State Government regards the seven thousand teachers the State government is about employing?
Well, it is a good thing that the government is coming by employing seven thousand teachers, at-least it is giving them employment and when employment is given, first thing the government should do is to consider where the seven thousand teachers will work, where is the environment, where are the classrooms, what even is the statistics of the number of students, that they have taken, are you saying seven thousand you are going to employ and you are taking two or three thousand students, the first thing is let us do something about the facilities, the welfare of this so called teachers to be employed, even the teachers on ground you have to do that one first, show example of what those coming in should take, okay, a glass of cup that is dirty; you are now pouring a new water into a dirty glass of cup, first thing is that you have to wash that cup, let it be clean, when it is clean, if you are putting any clean water inside it will show, so that is my own advice, though I know there is unemployment in the country, but we cant continue to allow things be degenerating, no, no, the people there first, what have you done, to make things right, let us go back to those days, the first time I went to radio, I congratulated the governor, it falls to his birthday time, which I pray for him, that God will help him to make Oyo State what it should be and this is part of it too, I'm not saying it is not good he is employing but what about those on ground, what is the motivation, what is their fate, what are you trying to put down, are they still coming to join those ones crying, no, in our days, go to our library, you will see books, even then they will give them meals, you will want to go to school, but nowadays, it is not like that, what about the buildings, class, environment, so this are the first thing I will expect the government to put in place, while employing the teachers.
What are the courses ADECOM is offering to the students, as of now?
As at now, we are offering Business Admin, Public Admin, Computer Science and Accountancy , by next year we will have our first batch of graduates for ND this year, next year we will proceed to have HND by the approval, from the National Board for Technical Education.
It is prevalent to see private schools engage in malpractices during examination, what is your take on this?
You know I have been busy when you came but I know that there are rules and regulations guiding our students' movement and you can see that they abide by that, we have to let them know some routine, when you talk of private schools engaging in malpractices I will disagree with that, because I run a private school and I believe we are doing it better than the government schools, I have been on radio programmes many times, and I would say the parents are the problems, they are crazy about the names of the school and I have several times told them , when my students sit with any students from anywhere, they will get to see the positive difference, in the quality of my students, so what will one be doing than to help the government and the economy and how to do that is not by encouraging  examination malpractices, I cannot do that, I don't do that, and I will never encourage any student when it comes to examination malpractice , no, let us know who you are, so I will never encourage  any student  to involve in any exam malpractice, no, because it is what you know that you will be able to to give others.
Now, I have my children too, schooling, maybe the students will be the ones to teach my children, so what will be my fate, if I do that, so if we have any one doing that I will advice them that they are not doing well, they are just destroying the future of these students

"What impressed me to come back to PDP from APC as at now, is the performance of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State"-Elder Segun Olayiwola, Akinyele political stalwart.

                                                           PRESS CONFERENCE
                                               WITH ELDER SEGUN OLAYIWOLA
                                FORMER AKINYELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN
WHO DECAMPED FROM APC TO PDP
                                                   WITH HIS TEEMING SUPPORTERS
IBADAN, OYO STATE ON 6TH OF FEBRUARY, 2020
                                                 AT AKINYELE, MONIYA PDP'S OFFICE.

Politics is the art or science of government and a profession and means of winning , keeping governmental control. so also it is seen as an academy to impart the fundamental ideas, intrinsic and intricacies on how to serve, in directing the affairs of a state.
However, in the course of learning to acquire experience to serve effectively, it is essential and important to know what to do, when to do and how to go about it, while many with the acquisition of the experience couple with initiative and fear of God justify themselves of the call to serve well and impart and impact their society commendably, to leave good legacy behind, yet some stray away from the course of duty derelict of substantial contribution, though history and record will be there to adjudge both as the case maybe .
Meanwhile, not quite long ago  a political stalwart in Akinyele, a former Chairman of the Akinyele Local Government; Elder Segun Olayiwola crossed from APC to PDP where he had had a stint for sometime and being the fact that he has contributed a lot to the development of his society and the betterment of his people's welfare, as a true type of the former class of the politicians that believes in the service to humanity  and a protege of the school of thought of Late Kolapo Olawuyi Isola, also a former but late governor in Oyo State, so the decamped politician with his teeming supporters were welcomed back to the fold of PDP, with pomp and pageantry, .
Elder Segun Olayiwola, a professional Town Planner, political stalwart, who had served under the tutelage of both living and died political juggernaut, timber and calibre of people like Late Kolapo Ol;awuyi Isola, Chief Christopher Alao Akala also a former Governor of Oyo State to mention few, had served earlier in the different capacities as political administrator and a former Akinyele Local Government Chairman.
Nevertheless, he organized a press conference where some members of media professionals from different houses were present to have a chat with him, on what led to his exit from APC for PDP,  to which he belongs before and also what motivated him to have decamped from APC to PDP and to this he recapitulated on what, why, who , when and how led to his decision on his return to PDP as reported below
-----------:
You are welcome to the session, I'm Olayiwola Olusegun , former Chairman Akinyele Local Government, Moniya, a politician of note, with my career running of about how many years now in politics; I actually started politicking in 1987 and up till date I have been in politics, that is about thirty three years ago and we started from nowhere to where we are today, we started as a trained politician under Baba Kolapo Olawuyi Isola, may his soul rest in peace, when I came from NYSC from Anambra State I joined him so that he could be able to get me employed, but yes he did that for a while, later he invited me to join him min politics but I resisted and I said you know I'm a Christian and by the grace of God politics is not meant for me but he told me "If I can wait then you could wait", I started watching him, along the line I could see that politics and religion with humanity go and in hand, you could see that however rich you may be without being in government there is little you can do, for the betterment of your people, because your riches , your wealth is limited but where you can get unlimited resources to get that of the thought for the people lies with government, for those who are out there to better the lot of their own people and by the grace of God, our antecedence would proves that, I started as a Councillor in 1991, I was Councillor Akinyele Local Government in 1991 and we started under Parliamentary System, so whoever was to be a Councillor out of the councilors they chose that there should be supervisory Councillors, so I was opportuned to be chosen as the supervisory Councillor for health, under the State administration, but not long after that Gen. Babangida Badamosi changed the system from the Parliamentary system at the Local Government to the Presidential System, there I was made the Council Leader of Akinyele Local Government. Later in the year I was made the Secretary of the then Oshun/Oyo State Council Leaders' Forum, that was the position I held until the end of our tenure in 1993 and from then because people like me all what we want in politics is to better the lot of our people , like I said so there is no hustle in struggling, what we be will be, until there was nothing to do I ventured into my own profession , because I was trained as a Town Planner, I studied Urban and Regional Planning, and I studied Council Development and Management and got Masters here and there and add my Msc Housing Development and Management, you know they go hand in hand, Urban and Regional Planning, Housing Development and Management. And I returned into private practice, I started a  property Develoment Company named Greeceland Property Limited, Greeceland Int'l property LMC of Maryland America, and that was what I was doing in between and as God would have it when Late Oga Lam Adesina came to power as Governor of Oyo State I was made a pert time member of Oyo State Youth Development Council, in politics if your interest is to serve the people, there is no position that could be regarded as being too small , take it , at that small level you can still get some people to assist, so I accepted it, that time I think we were earning five thousand per month and when I was Councillor we started as seven hundred naira per month, when it was changed to Parliamentary the Councillor were earning three thousand naira five hundred, those of us that were Council Leaders  were earning six thousand five hundred that was all we were earning  till we left office, no come six thousand when I was made a member of Youth Development Council of Oyo State we were of five thousand per month and by the time we left the AD for PDP  they thought of some of the members among who myself and Chairman Oyo State Youth Development Council Professor Soji Adejumo, two of us were shown the way out because we left AD for PDP  and from that time until 2007 December, when I contested I win the Chairmanship Akinyele Local Government and on the assumption of office I was made the assistant secretary of the Algon and my colleague Hon. Ismail Adedeji was also there , he was the Chairman of Atisbo Local Government, I was in the council between 2007 to 2011, I ran a term of three years after that I was chosen a caretaker chairman for another six months , so making three years , six months and to the glory of God, history is written in our favor, in our favor because ever before I became the Chairman only about two or three people had the opportunity of tarring roads with asphalt, in Akinyele Local Government, well Baba Kolapo Olawuyi Isoal opened the route to tarred a road, the first Chairman of PDP in Akinyele Professor Adeniran tarred the Local Government premises, Hon. Yemi Aderibigbe tarred two to three roads, but to the glory of God , for my three and half years, the opportunity God gave us we did not misuse it, we were able to tarred twenty two roads, I built a block of four classrooms and that was my own design, as a town planner, because to them it was either a block of three classrooms or six classrooms, I realized that I cannot  afford to build six classrooms with all responsibility, six classrooms was ideal then, at-least in a rural school one classroom per class , but when I could not afford to build the block of six classrooms in a number of schools I want it, I now designed  a program; a block of four classrooms, my design was that the classroom has blackboard either side, because out of the nineteen schools I built, about fifteen of them there were no classroom at all, it was as if they were using churches around, bales house, big house or sheds out there, so we designed a block of four classrooms ; Primary One and Two kept in a class, they were kept in a class, with the use of partition to separate them, a class will face right and another to the left, Primary three and four were using the same class and you know when you graduate from Primary four to five you are already preparing yourself for the task ahead, so they were given only one class, so we provided the class, where they were tutored, for the role they were likely to play in the future, when they get to Primary six, that was where they take Common Entrance, so they were left alone and that was how we came about our design of a block of four classrooms, with the headmaster's office and a toilet, so we built that, then what of if I want to talk of the number of boreholes, covet-pipes, etc.
And in the religion circle when I assumed office as the Chairman Akinyele Local Government I wonder about the thought that over eighty to ninety-five percent Muslim population worship at the uncompleted Central Mosque in Moniya Akinyele, the Mosque they have when I was they and they built it during Governor Kolapo Olawuyi Isola regime, and they did the little they could about it, so Baba /Alhaji Suara Adeleke usually called Alhaji Agba and also the Chairman Butchers Association Oyo State then sold his house at Yemetu to do something in thaqt Mosque, they eventually squandered the money, all they could do was to get basement prepared for Talanpe; for prayers,
In-fact when I assumed office as the Chairman or even before I became the Chairman almost three governors; Military Governor Adisa; this I was told by Late Alhaji Arisekola and Late but former Oyo State Civilian Governor Lam Adesina, Former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, who were Muslim had visited the Mosque and promised to do one thing or the other but were incapable to do anything, maybe due to shorty of capital , you know one thing I believe is that whosoever God has destined to do something will be the one to do it, and as they were waiting for who will do it, then I called the leadership of the Mosque, that I wanted to try something  about the Mosque but behind they felt skeptical and teased behind that how will I be able to do that, with the governors being unable to do it, though it was only Governor Rashidi Ladoja that did something about it, to have given them Two hundred and fifty thousand, according to the history, so I started  despite  the fact that I cannot perform to use all the lot of the money that belongs to the Akinyele Local Government on the Mosque, because the Christian will talk , so one day we had an executive meeting and I told them at the meeting that I had a conviction that we should start something about the Mosque, because it is the only unifying factor of our people in Moniya , if we are able to achieve a little I think this people will like us and will like our government, so I told my people ; my Vice Chairman, he is a serious person, and I said Vice Chairman you are going to be the Chairman of the Committee I'm going to set up, Director of Finance give me somebody that one is going to be Accounting Officer, so also I talked to CPM to give me somebody that is going to be the Secretary of the Committee, yet I talked to the Director of Works give me somebody, that one is going to be the Clerk of the Works, after which I told the Executive Council of the Mosque to give me two people to represent them and all these persons, from the different quarters constituted the ad-hoc committee for the project, now we started immediately, after our salary every moth, there is a standing order by me, to set  aside five hundred thousand into a dedicated account, for the Mosque, after the third months, we started on the building............................................................I still helped to build two churches, one I built before this other one that have been completed to the rooftop level  and it was so big and tall, so they needed 2,5million, I'm talking of 2009, they approached me........................................and I sought the approval of the Governor who acceded to before I gave them.........................................................But can you believe it that when we approached the end of the completion of the mosque; someone was envious of our performance and now went to approached the governor while the governor gave them 5 million...............................................yet the Chief Imam and the leadership of the Mosque appealed that though they knew I had tried a lot but will not mind to assist me to complete it, only that I told them I started the work and would complete it....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................so I called the director of Works, to quantify the cost for the completion of the Mosque, which they arrived at the cost of 5 million naira, so I approached the governor to approve the spending of the money, for the completion of the Mosque and he approved of it and we spent the money to finish the completion of the Mosque............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ On a lighter mood when we got to Moniya for today's event to declared for PDP, one of my boys said did I see how the event went gloriously with pomp and pageantry, that this could not be of the hand of Jesus that maybe I was using something fetish, even some of my present Council Chairman and Councillors said Oga, you must have used something fetish for this occasion to have gone so graciously and gloriously with teeming crowd of supporters of mine, yet I have not used anything fetish but that is what can do , if you can pray , if you can work, if you believe, trust and have confidence in the God you serve, He's not a god that can fail, whatever he says he will do he will do, it is how we started and this is where we are, you may want to ask what took me out of PDP...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................so, in 2017 when we were cheated all of us came out of PDP, because we knew it was a serious cheating.....................................................................................................................................................in annoyance we all came out of PDP, but than God we have all realized that  we over reacted truly, so that was what brought us to where we were, but if truly there is no place like home, our fathers who advised us frequently, have been diligently following me all the way immemorial in politics, hence at a juncture they advised us that they have got old and we should go back to where we belong; our homes, our place of rest, and since I don't think it would be too much for me to follow them, that is why you see us coming back PDP today.

........QUESTION TIME:=

Anybody that have passed through the school of thought of Late /former Governor Kolapo Olawuyi Isola who really graduated successfully and effectively being impacted should be automatically be accounted a role model, if not these Octogenarians will not be following you, but my question is to ask may be your aspiration is to go higher more than the place you are now, after this tenure  then are you not nursing the aspiration for a higher , Two; should we say the obedience to your fathers was one of the factors that brought you back to PDP?

Yes, to answer your question, infact if I had not obeyed them and even if I want to come back to PDP ; it would not have been now, because I would have loved the probability of getting my Oga to our side, because up till now, he has not agreed , and I have taken my babas to go with me to beg him, because some people came here last week , to plea with these babas, that they should tarry a bit, so it was the obedience to these babas, that brought us back, to where we are today.
Number two, I don't think there  is anybody in politics that don't have one ambition or the other , that desire must be there , even my fathers that are following me they are following me for the sake of God, because of God and at-times if there is any opportunity that they should also considered to benefit from it, so I have ambition but for now I keep that to my chest.

With this idea of Return of Hope of yours, what is your plan considering the development of the Akinyele Local Government.

Yes, my hope, my plan, my concern, my aspiration for Akinyele is a better tomorrow......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... If I now by His grace become something greater in future I'm going to make Akinyele a model State.

Your coming back to PDP is it a water testing, which after that you will win your Oga back to PDP eventually, Secondly with the followers that followed you back to PDP we will like to know the numerical strength and which parties have they come to join you in PDP?

Thank you very much , about whether our coming back to PDP is a water-testing; no , it is not, what brought people like me into politics is good governance, I feel they are not doing it the way it should be done and I have tested myself as Chairman and I could see that yes, people that have been doing it before me have not done it well except one or two like Baba Isola, it is only Baba Isola that I can doff my hat for and my Oga, even those before and after me, their achievement had not equated what I did alone.
And you know what impressed me to come back to PDP as at now is the performance of Seyi Makinde, that young man is fantastic
