ISLAMIC HIGH SCHOOL ORITA BASHORUN IBADAN MARKS SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY

Today was a memorable day in the lives of the Islamic Old students (both boys and girls) who came in array of beautiful head-gears and native caps to adorn their immaculate white iro,buba, sokoto, awotele and agbada  dresses, in the splendid and elegant mood celebrating their alma-mater sixtieth  anniversary.
 The occasion which started as scheduled and attracted the presence of various distinguished personalities, the Olubadan representatives with his insignia, some old students but men at the highest echelon of ladder and invited guests and the throng of the school students who find it essential to honour the great school, by being around to bear witness to the success story of the school that had produced several men and women who are now doing very well in their various disciplines.
 In the lines of events the Headmistress of the school; Dr./Mrs Latifat Dairo delivered her speech to welcome the members of the audience to the occasion after which President Old Students Association;Dr. Isiaq Omotoso went down the memorable line to highlight on the condition of the school before and what had been done to improve on the state of things within the school in the rehabilitation of their alma-mater, here he commended on the effort of the various old-students but members of the association who had made sure they bend over backward to see that things are put in shape to bring the glory of the school back.
 At the awards giving aspect Chief L.A. Bili Adigun was eulogized as a significant and very committed but octogenarian member, whose citation actually proved him to have weathered several storms of life yet breaking through thick and thin, to have achieved greatly both at home and abroad.
 And in his comment the simple, humble but highly intelligent Chief L.A Bili Adigun expressed the fact that education which is the only legacy that could be given to the youth for better future should be made compulsorily general and avoidable for the sake of the less-privileged and the future of this great country, since the bulk of the responsibility will be on the government provided the children of the indigent families fail to be trained side by side with the children of those that can afford education,hence he advised the parents to see it as their sole responsibility to make sure nothing debar their children from learning.
 Among thoser given awards at the occasion are Chief Akintunde Kareem; a geoligist, Mrs Sauda Omolara Olanigo; an educationist, Ashipa Balogun Baameto of Ibadanland; Alhaji Lateef Banmidele Adigun , Chief Moronfolu Agbelurin to mention few.
